Leon schooled Colby, there are levels and Edwards’ technique shone through.
Rakhmonov looks legit, and probably Leon’s biggest challenge in the immediate future.
That Bryce Mitchel KO was nasty.
Paddy looked good - tho tank looks a little suspect. Will say it again Tony looks done, should hang up the gloves
How was Wonderboy still ranked 6th in the div? Like has he won recently?
And yes Bryce Mitchel KO........some say he still twitching till now
Great card to end the year.
Leon too sharp and technical for Colby. The commentary team were annoyingly bias towards Colby and kept saying he doesn't look himself but that was because he feared the striking of Leon. A victory that I am sure will taste extremely sweet, especially after the abhorrent comments by Colby.
Pantoja showing guts and heart in the co main, despite being gassed from round 3 onwards. I thought Royval was doing well but the takedown precision and timing of Pantoja helped him retain the title.
Shavkat continues on his win streak and maintains his 100% finish record. I thought he looked human in round 1 but once he got the takedown, he showed that he is more than just a striker.
Tony should have retired a few fights ago and I suspect his downward trajectory will continue, if he chooses to fight on. I thought he was getting to Paddy in the final round but once he got taken down, it was game over. I think it's clear that Tony still has the heart and desire but his body isn't responding, at all.

Aldana v Rosa
Wow. Crazy damage to both.
Possibly the best women's fight I've seen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was a brutal war. Certainly one of the most exciting womens fights I have seen.
Wow quite possibly the worst numbered UFC i have seen in a while. Honestly I have seen better Fight Nights, ok all well and good getting local fighters and all but when they aint that good dont make it a numbered UFC and dont have them all as main card fights........stick em on the undercard but at least try to make the main card decent

That's why I didn't post anything related to the card
It was a poor card on paper and the fights turned out that way. I enjoyed the main event but the rest was forgetable.

100% agree, didnt even realise there was an MMA thread !
Thankfully, UFC 298,UFC 299 and UFC 300 look stacked.
So Dana just announced they have Kayla Harrison, she looks mean and her Vs HH looks pretty tasty too. Anyone know anything about her?

It's an underwhelming fight but it's good to see Kayla in the UFC.
She was a champion in the PFL and is an olympic gold medalist. I'm interested in how she matches up with these other women.
I don't understand why everybody is hyping up 300, the card is average as they come. I think they relied on McGregor coming back but by all accounts he's miles off.
Still, a few fights they can make; Du Plessis vs Izzy, Leon vs Shavkat (or Belal), Periera vs Hill (if he can be ready), could you do Aspinall vs Blades?
On the contrary, most people are disappointed with UFC 300. UFC 298 and 299 are superior cards but 300 is still a must watch. The main even will be Leon vs Belal.
Blaydes is already booked to fight Almedia.
Hill hasn't recovered.
Too soon for DDP and Adesanya.
Here we go, UFC 298 is almost upon us
This is a stellar card that has great fights from top to bottom. My predictions:
Volk via TKO
Whittaker via SD
Garry via UD
Merab via UD
Kopylov via TKO
Topuria has been doing a watered down version of Conor, when he fought Aldo and I think he would have been better served to just be himself. He is a skilled fighter but the disrespect towards Volk has been unwarranted. I hope Volk humbles the young man.
299 one of the best cards I have seen in a long time, only thing that could have made it better was if Holland could have KO'd that silly khunt, but he smashed him enough for me to enjoy it
Great fights
Really like SD - dudes just there to fight or get KO'd, love the no nonsense stuff!
And solid dominant performance from Sean - just on another level to Vera, guy can take a punch but Sean dismantled him over 25mins. Vera's best shot was 10 seconds after the bell of the last round
I concur. It was a great card and some great fights and performances. My favourites were Yan and Poirier.
O'Malley was took sharp and quick for Vera and it was a disappointing title fight, due to Vera not risking it all.
I'd like to see O'Malley vs Merab next.
UFC 300 FIGHT WEEK
Not the best main card but as a whole, it's certainly one of the better cards we've had in a long time.

Yes, as a whole card from prelims to main event, I can't recall one that is better.
They've got the former bantamweight champion vs the former flyweight champion as the opener for the prelims

This card is ridiculous - still trying to get over how Jiri is in the prelims!
Been amazing so far

I will never doubt Max again. One of the best fighters that has ever fought in the UFC. He dominted Gaethje and then sent him to sleep.
Alex continued to show why he is one of the scariest guys we've seen in the sport.
Brilliant card from top to bottom.
