What has happened to Spurs?

Come on guys, this is DJ you’re talking to.

If Arsenal suffer injuries or suspension then it’s down to bad luck / bad refs / corruption.

Spurs, though, bring it all on themselves.

Didn’t you know that by now?

As for the article, appreciate it’s a wum, but I think Spurs have done brilliantly. They’ve having a slightly off patch but they’re still right in the mix.

Have to remember how thing looked when Kane left, and that they don’t spend the same on their squad as the likes of United and Arsenal.

I think Ange deserves a lot of credit as thing stand, and a slightly poor patch doesn’t change that.

----------
In the last 5 years there has been about €20m spend difference between Spurs and Arsenal. Not really a noteworthy difference.
Spurs squad is a very expensive one.

Big difference in wages though, which unsurprisingly you neglect to mention.

Okay then yes it’s around £40m apparently

If you offered spurs fans 5th place and champions league football for next season at the start of this season I think most would have been pleased with that.

Not too mention actually watching some good attacking football compared to the depressing dross they’ve been served up for years.

Anyways it’s in their hands

Long way to go for 5th being CL, and there is still a chance that requires Arsenal winning it this year. I'm sure many Spurs fans would take Europa if it meant Arsenal didn't win the CL.

I dunno

Arsenal are hitting form and the standard in Europe doesn’t look as good as in previous years.

Spurtle, bless him. Stays on track until the end. That's what delusion can do to you.

Competing for 4th is about par for what we should
Be hoping for this season. New manager new players, hopefully there’s enough to make it into the CL next season but not a massive disappointment if not. Would
Still be plenty to build on for next season.

It just feels like an awful lot of effort for a fairly poor wum.

But eh, it's Sunday. Not much else to do I guess. You do you.

What's the delusion though? We lost 3 games out of 4 after the Chelsea game. You don't think if Maddison and VDV hadn't got injured that would have been different? We'd be on a similar number of points to Arsenal right now, and if they're challenging, that would have to mean we would be.

It’s not unreasonable to say we’d have about 5/6 more points if we hadn’t had the injuries we’ve had.

If, buts and maybe's. You need more than 11 to mount a challenge. There's your delusion.
