Can City steal it on the final day?

Cant see where else united will drop points. When I looked at the fixture list with 8 games left, the wigan fixture was the only one I could see united dropping points. Even with their absurd record against united any team that goes and beats Liverpool at Anfield must be backed so I made a health 350 pounds form a 100 quid bet for Draw no Bet.

I don’t know what to expect from City anymore, they could go on and win all their remaining games or lose and draw a few, but what I know is united will probably only lose to City until the Sunderland game, Im pretty certain of that.
The game against City will depend on tactics, if Fergie goes 4-4-2 and sticks giggs in the middle then that’s a stone wall win for City, they could even bump their goal difference. If he plays 5 across midfield then they can at least come away with a draw.Pshychologically it wont mean a thing, united will win the next game but on the final day if Sunderland hassle and harry like they have done since O niel was appointed I can see united draw the game

Is it possible that mancini and his boys will steal it on the last day as united draw away at the stadium of light? Some will question City’s fixtures but after the arsenal game their fixtures are winnable in my opinion. The Newcastle game will be tight but too much of Newcastle’s play depends on Cisse at the moment. If you plan for him and take your opportunities you can beat Newcastle.

What if Mario comes on as a sub and scores against united or scores some crucial goals in the final games. This could be one controversial season.

then again united will probably win the league by 4 points however there wont be any guard of honour rubbish at the Etihad.

City performed of old yesterday because the pressure came off them after United was leading 8 points, I'd like to see what they would do if the point gap was cut to 2 between United and them. They might mess up again and feel the pressure, who knows? But anyway, United thought the title race was wrapped up yesterday and that attitude shouldn't be needed until United have actually won the league. It's going to be a tense run-in, but now we'll see if your away form will change or not against Norwich.

City would have to win every game IMO.

I still think it's a tall order, that said I'm glad it remains interesting. I think if City beat Norwich they will go on to beat United

I've seen a lot of people on these boards today who are setting ourselves up for some potential return wummery (I don't mean this thread, but just a few others I've seen pop up since last night).

Let's not forget that our next game is away at Norwich; they are decent at home, and we are terrible away. As for yesterday, we beat a weakened West Brom side at home and Utd lost to an in-form Wigan side away; hardly anything for us to get too confident about!

Let's just take one game at a time, rather than giving the serial WUMs ammunition to come back and fire at us. Having fallen 8 points behind Utd in such a short space of time should have been a lesson in humility for us; we've mouthed off on these boards pkenty of times over the season but the only thing that matters is who sits top of the league on the final day.

Don't forget they actually pressed us like Bilbao, they play a 3-4-3 which no other team play in the league. They're a very unique side, but it annoys me they only play this well at the end of each season. Why can't they play like that at the beginning, god knows.

I dont think City have a chance now, I can see United losing at the Etihad and the stadium of light but City will probably drop points aswell

Only this.

City have to win every game. The only time I can see us dropping points is City away and Sunderland away. Looks like last night could be more important than just closing the gap considering there was a 5 goal swing in the goal difference. A draw and a loss for us sees City go top.

So there was no pressure playing at Old Trafford in front of 76,000 yet we still won 1-6?

Yeah because the title race was decided in October, when you approached the second half of the season the team was not of old and you started under performing in games. You lost 4 games so far in 2012, and your away form has been poor. You can't compare what happened in October to what's going on now
