Can City steal it on the final day?

City performed of old yesterday because the pressure came off them after United was leading 8 points, I'd like to see what they would do if the point gap was cut to 2 between United and them. They might mess up again and feel the pressure, who knows? But anyway, United thought the title race was wrapped up yesterday and that attitude shouldn't be needed until United have actually won the league. It's going to be a tense run-in, but now we'll see if your away form will change or not against Norwich.

City would have to win every game IMO.

I still think it's a tall order, that said I'm glad it remains interesting. I think if City beat Norwich they will go on to beat United

I've seen a lot of people on these boards today who are setting ourselves up for some potential return wummery (I don't mean this thread, but just a few others I've seen pop up since last night).

Let's not forget that our next game is away at Norwich; they are decent at home, and we are terrible away. As for yesterday, we beat a weakened West Brom side at home and Utd lost to an in-form Wigan side away; hardly anything for us to get too confident about!

Let's just take one game at a time, rather than giving the serial WUMs ammunition to come back and fire at us. Having fallen 8 points behind Utd in such a short space of time should have been a lesson in humility for us; we've mouthed off on these boards pkenty of times over the season but the only thing that matters is who sits top of the league on the final day.

Don't forget they actually pressed us like Bilbao, they play a 3-4-3 which no other team play in the league. They're a very unique side, but it annoys me they only play this well at the end of each season. Why can't they play like that at the beginning, god knows.

I dont think City have a chance now, I can see United losing at the Etihad and the stadium of light but City will probably drop points aswell

Only this.

City have to win every game. The only time I can see us dropping points is City away and Sunderland away. Looks like last night could be more important than just closing the gap considering there was a 5 goal swing in the goal difference. A draw and a loss for us sees City go top.

So there was no pressure playing at Old Trafford in front of 76,000 yet we still won 1-6?

Yeah because the title race was decided in October, when you approached the second half of the season the team was not of old and you started under performing in games. You lost 4 games so far in 2012, and your away form has been poor. You can't compare what happened in October to what's going on now
