Morning folks
Just something I've been wondering about for a while, I wonder if any of you would be able to shed some light on this for me.
As we (should) all know, normally 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the league go straight into the CL group stages, and 4th places goes into the final qualifying round, playing a 2-legged play-off to get to the groups, blah blah blah.
But what with Chelsea threatening the 4th place slot, what happens to that play-off? Would the team that finished 3rd have to play that extra couple of games, and run the risk of falling before the first hurdle?
I assume the Champions (Chelsea, in this scenario) would go straight into the groups, given their 'right' to defend their title, but I've not seen anyone mention the play-off when talking about finishing 3rd.
Any thoughts?
(If the Admins could put this on the Newcastle and Chelsea boards too, that's be much appreciated, cheers).

If we finish 3rd and Chelsea win the CL final we will be entered into the final qualifying round.

that way spurs can knock arsenal out in the first round instead of having to wait

If you even get there, Chronic.
