Nani is potentially one of the most frustrating players we currently have in our squad. He seems to have a 2 month period every season where he is unstoppable and then it suddenly ends and he is painfully bad to watch.
He lacks a footballing brain massively, instead of a simple pass he will shoot miles over or run into 3/4 defenders in an attempt to do something flash which rarely comes off for him. His final ball is also usually suspect and his set piece deliveries are terrible, do they ever beat the first man?
At 25 he should be hitting his peak, even more so with the talent he possess. He just doesn't seem to know how to use it! Maybe he should look at Valencia's more direct style of play and actually RUN at the full back and deliver a final ball.
Yet on here I get the feeling people genuinely believe he is one of our truly world class players. Can you not see his inconsistency? If we can get the reported £25-30m for him, we'd be mad not to take it in my opinion. We can't afford to have a 'luxury' player in such a key area of our system, because when he isn't at the top of his game, Nani is woeful.
Nani world-class? Madness

This is the Nani who got the most goals and assist record in the league last season? The same Nani that when played on the right-wing in his favoured position is absolutely class?!
Don't judge a player simply because he doesn't moan about being played in a position, which he doesn't favour. Out of all the wingers we have, Nani is the most creative, the most technical, and most importantly a player than can have that moment of genius and do something spectacular.
Your assessment of Nani seems to be a lot of frustration based on this season, but I'll ask Sir Alex to start playing Valencia on the left wing from now on - And I'll wait for a similar article with the Nani name replaced with Valencia.

Fans sometimes have very very short memories it seems . If a player is out for a few months then he's almost forgotten .
Nani is more reliable than a few seasons ago and works very hard linking up with defence to win the ball back and get attacks moving . He's become far more of a team player .

Seems to me like some of our fans are so desperate for a new face... The minute they see one of our players link with a big money move, they convince themselves he is shíte and player X is much better.
If we lost Nani, I would be gutted, even for £30m

so fickle! He was our best player last season, he has encountered a bit of inconsistency this season, but he has also been injured for a bit. This is sounds very familiar to all the young hating muppets.
If you get any kind of injury it is very hard to get back to the blistering form you were in beforehand
