Really? i thought he has been leading the team fantasticly and his crossing/passing is a class above, massive presence and shows how far alot of our 'future' players have to go to be anywhere near good enough imo.

As a big admirer of both I have to say Scholes. No opppsotion player frightened me more than Scholes in his prime, he was the ultimate player and always seemed to produce or be heavily influential against us. In contrast Gerrard although a great player also never produced against Chelsea and was found out a lot against our superstar players

Only Liverpool fans will say Gerrard.

Gerrard for me

One can pass the ball short, keep possession and can control a game. The other used to charge around like a bull in a china shop and now resorts to hopeful long balls that concede possession cheaply.

If Gerrard is a better player than Scholes then I don't think I want to watch football any more.

ovibously we have some people who have been drinking. Scholes was good, But Gerrard is 10 times better. Gerrard leads by example, scholes never did, plus he cant tackle to save his life.
