I loved the FIFA games and pro evo before that and was even in the top 100 in the world on FIFA 09 despite not playing over 200 games.
But is the new FIFA 14 as bad as the recent games that have destroyed my love for the game?
I just played a game now on FIFA 13 thinking the servers would be better due to people being on 14 but It can still get the same scripted, laggy sh111t that we have seen before.
In this game it was the same old bull, players moving like they're in mud, there first touch is always in at their feet and they're stumbling around like buffoons, they cannot pass the simplest pass, they can't shot(due to ball being stuck under their feet) and everything just feels off with the game.
I just drew 2-2 against someone so bad at the game, but he bossed the game, that's how much this scripting stuff matters, why they have out it in I will never know(maybe to make poorer players get a win and then feed popular demand so it's enjoyable for all)
Anyway he bossed the game and It went to penalties and I messaged him saying" ima miss all my penalties, do not deserve to win, good luck"
I'd given up on FIFA...
I can't be dealing with another one, feeding the ea machine of poor servers, refereeing decisions I can't contemplate and just genuine bull whenever the game decides I'm not to win and my players turn into Sunday league vets teams.
Before anyone who says scripting for lack of a better word, is imaginary too many people, good players, have had that controller in their hand and been able to do nothing about the impending goal which you see happening seconds before it does. If they can put different refereeing leniencies, go to the trouble of developing life like faces, body size, kits, changing the weather, stadiums and pressure then why not choose who the game favours and if someone's Kevin Davies is quicker than my clichy.
So please, have you encountered the now normal bull s on FIFA 14?
Is FIFA 14 as bad as 13?

Ok. Dunno if anyone on this thread can help. But how do you make your players move?i use to be renown for knowing all the skills and being a great dribbler, not over using the speed that previous fifas have. But I get the ball now with any player and its like they can't turn, the ball gets stuck under their feet, and they cannot sprint. Is there a trick I'm missing here?

Chris: I play only offline i.e. against the CPU.
A high proportion of the goals scored - by me or the CPU - are in the 45th and 90th minutes.
There are times when you know a goal is coming, no matter what you do. For example, if I go 2-0 up, the CPU will score a goal no matter what tactics I use (ultra-defensive, 5-4-1).
It also happens the other way round, whereby the CPU defence opens up and I'm allowed to score a goal which makes the scoreline tighter (2-1, 1-1).
The advantage is that games are close. It's boring and unrealistic when someone is winning 4-0. But it is extremely annoying and rather pointless when you know the outcome has been predetermined.

I knew it, been certain of this for a couple of years!
All of a sudden they press you all over the pitch, make seemingly impossible tackles, average players are suddenly blessed with immense skill and dribbling, the passing is total accuracy, the ball rebounds to them at all times, they escape with blatant handballs before walking/carving the defence open a la barca and score... my sister has long since I've been going mad when I shout "It's so blatant... complete fix.... how is that even likely.... facking cheats...."

Tbf, PES is no different in this aspect.

It all adds up now. Could always just 'feel' when they were about to score, and regardless of whether I just stand off them a bit until they reach the penalty box or try and tackle them early it rarely works.
Was playing CPU the other day and winning 2-1 despite completely dominatiing them, I must have had about 16 shots at goal compared to their 5. Within the last 10 mins they kept miraculously winning the ball back and somehow my passing/control/tackling went awry and they had about another 10 shots at goal before they equalised with 2 mins to go.
