Is FIFA 14 as bad as 13?

I don't like FIFA 14 at all right now. But I am like this whenever a FIFA game comes out and then it somehow becomes my favorite game.

What I've noticed about this FIFA game is defending is impossible. Every through ball puts you through on goal 1 on 1 with the keeper.

The FIFA games could have been truly special were it not for the scripting. It really does ruin the whole experience.

What scripting do you mean myhammers?

Chris: I play only offline i.e. against the CPU.

A high proportion of the goals scored - by me or the CPU - are in the 45th and 90th minutes.
There are times when you know a goal is coming, no matter what you do. For example, if I go 2-0 up, the CPU will score a goal no matter what tactics I use (ultra-defensive, 5-4-1).

It also happens the other way round, whereby the CPU defence opens up and I'm allowed to score a goal which makes the scoreline tighter (2-1, 1-1).

The advantage is that games are close. It's boring and unrealistic when someone is winning 4-0. But it is extremely annoying and rather pointless when you know the outcome has been predetermined.

Oh I see. Not heard people call it scripting before - it seems more like handicapping to me.

I know what you mean. I can just feel it coming, my players suddenly can't control the ball, passes (despite being apparently fully manual controls) go all wayward, and attackers breeze past my defenders like they weren't even there.

Just seems very lazy from EA.

Forgot CPU. Ultimate team is the worst for it. Ur players just can't move, shoot or pass straight. I win 10 games without breaking a sweat and then all of sudden it's like I've put out league 2 players. It works in cycles. Till ea stop that I won't get another FIFA.

It's basically match-fixing, whereby the score has been predetermined before the game even starts.

I liked the fifa 13 demo but the fifa 14 demo was terrible.
haven't bought the full game yet but apparently not much has changed from the demo.

from gameplay videos I see that crosses are back to op status from fifa 12

Ultimate team is scripted, if ppl went on mad losing streaks, they would be quitting the name, those who keep winning think they need not buy packs as they have a top team. I'm not buying Fifa...no way.

I won division 1 in ultimate team 5 times with a rare silver speed team.
buy all these expensive players like hazard, aguero, silva, nani, toure, mata, vidic, kompany etc etc then i start losing and can no longer win division 1

pro clubs is the worst game mode for poor programming.

also those moments when you know a goal is coming, you cant string a pass together, cant tackle, every clearance you makes lands perfectly at the feet of an opposition attacker, tackles you do make end up rebounding back into their possession in a better position than they were previously in.

Theres a higher probability of scoring from a corner in the 45th or 90th minute. Also scoring any type of garbage goal in the 45th and 90th minute somehow seems easier to the team that the game is currently favouring.

Their problem is they either think they have a good game here or they just dont give a shet about the customers, they just want our money and they know we are stupid enough to keep buying new FIFAs just for the fecking team updates and the hope that they fix some of the embarrassing bugs/glitches/fails in the previous FIFA which they never seem to do.

..... and breathe.

Greg I completely agree. And usually it is against those silver speed teams which you use, I hate them guys and I would try anything to best them! But everything bounces for them. Is unreal

Anyone know how to skip those quick throw-ins?

Didn't believe scripting existed before, thought it was just an excuse people made....

I understand now. Won 17 in a row, then lost 8 in a row, nothing I could do to stop the losses whatsoever.

only people who say that 4th are people who are no good at the game and have not won any competitions to notice the difference.

How do you explain winning division 1 with a load of silver players, smashing teams worth 100x the amount of mine. I won it 4 times with ease. I then buy loads of expensive gold players and can no longer win division 1 no matter how many times I try.

I wouldn't say scripting as surely this suggests there's a pre determined result? Surely because it's a football game like in real life the game is too unpredictable, in an anything can happen type of way for them to decide the scoreline.

I always have some games when the opponent is more clinical though, their players are stronger, defenders faster, my players can't pass, and classics like my 'keeper saves a shot and pushes it to their striker, I tackle them 3 times in one move, each time the ball goes back to them etc. so maybe it's just handicapped. I have also definitely had games where I feel I've been the one getting all the luck.

Handicapped is what I meant, yes.

They seem to come in patches. On my losing streak, one of the games I equalised in the last min, only for them to punt it up from kick off, straight to their striker, who bundles it through my goalies legs.

And if anything to notice handicap you need to be a better player
