I am trying to remain positive and still will continue to be patient enough for the next 10 days to pass by but I am losing my nerve a little. I watched the game yesterday and we still had Hanley in there and the lad has got some promise but putting him in there like that is in at the deep end. If we had started with Samba and Nelson fully fit we would have had a much better start I totally convinced of that. Wolves went and spent £12 million in the market and now they almost look a guaranteed bet to stay up. We could have used someone like Johnson after losing Jones for sure now we have £20 million at least spare to use the majority must be spent in the next 10 days.
There are plenty of Steve Kean/Venkys bashers on here but the jury is still out for me and we are only two games in. The season is over thirty eight games so there is no need to go and run around like headless chickens and panic! If we get a win in the cup Wednesday then we can get back in the habit of winning and set ourselves up for a fit Samba against Everton at home who just lost to QPR at home.
I was looking at Simon Vukčević and he looks like he would be a great signing so that is promising. If we get the quoted amount of four bodies in I think we will be fine. We are notoriously and perennially poo in the first of the season anyway we always come good in the second half. We will start picking up some good points soon I am sure but if we were to lose say six or seven in a row then my patience with Kean is over. There is only so far you can go with this bloke who is not exactly doing himself any favours with his recent behaviour and 'spiked' driving offence.
I honestly would love to have Sparky back he is such a legend I saw him live at the league cup final 2002 when he was 38 play in the middle of the park with Dunny boy and he was mercurial. We played good football under him and he brought in some great signings because he has pulling power. I am not sure he would come back to us as he may see it as a step back in his career but football is a funny old game.
Anyway just thought I would try and lighten up the mood of the board for a change. Whatever happens I will buy a new Rovers shirt and I love my club. Rover til I die!

That is what I meant by seeing what type of owners they are. In an ideal world they would throw out Kean (if results continue on the downward path) and the whole Kentaro/SEM influence and seek to surround themselves with people who know what it means to be a Rover.

"OOJW I know the stats do not look good, I have watched the same games as you over the last 9 months or so but you really do epitomise the misery that is professed on here."
You acknowledge the statistics do not look good but then state I am miserable with my comments. Sorry to disappoint, but I was only stating obvious facts and you are only stating opinions, sadly without any facts to support them.
I am however happy to read your positive views and cheery opinions and of course you are entitled to them, but equally I hope you respect the fact I am also entitled to an opinion and my opinion does not originate from fairy land.
Please feel free to post any relevant statistics to support your view and I will gladly re-consider your opinion. But only if your comments stack up and are supported by some facts, not rambling hopes and dreams.

Kean is in my opinion not a bad manager because he is doing is best, the only problem is ,he as no experience and a limited soccer background which will cost him dearly in the next few games. As a PR man maybe fine reminds me of Chemical Ali there are no American Tanks here!

Jim...I have just re-read your comment to me.
Your post contains the following words;
Misery - Boring - Self-Pity - Whining - Crying - Moping - Whinging
You trumped up little pumpkin.... Is that what people get if they disagree with you?....
You also state you have a ver bad feeling for this year. What happened to the PMA when you first posted?
Also you state that should we lose 6 or 7 in a row then the pressure will grow!! WTF should we lose that many in a row at the start of the season we are down already Charlie. Even the most positive fan must recognise that must not be allowed to happen.

"Kean is in my opinion not a bad manager "
Eh yes he is and he has no history of management before, just a chequered career as a coach. So far he has a worse winning/losing record than the man he replaced and the same record this season as West Brom. Who have faced Man U and Chelsea and given them more of a game than we have Wolves at home and Villa.

"Misery - Boring - Self-Pity - Whining - Crying - Moping - Whinging".
That's probably an accurate description of most of us on here at the moment.
I'm normally choc full of PMA,but it's being sorely tested right now.

Yes we might not even get my promised game with Doncaster next year, they look doomed too.
All too sad for the club and the town. We've had some very good (and not so good) Scottish managers over the years and up until this one, at least they all showed a passion for the game. This one varies between rabbit-in-the-headlights and corporate non-speak. What players are possibly inspired by a guy like this? Sad sad.

Oh b.0ll.0cks my opinion comes from fairy land you are miserable g1t stop being so bitter all you want to talk about are the negatives and you dont look for anything positive. I think we should see how he fairs in the next month or so before we get carried away saying we are definitely going down. Even if we did lose 6 or 7 that doesn't at all guarantee we will go down that is utter nonsense there are 31/32 more games anything can happen. The team we had last season is now 11 squad players lighter so there are a lot of new players in there and they wont just gel together immediately. We also didnt have any of our main defenders you take the best main centre back pairing out of any side in the league and they will have problems that is obvious. All i'm saying is I know his statistics are not great at the moment but we can beat Shef Weds on Weds, Everton on Saturday and then Fulham the week after we are good enough. That is not anything to do with fairy land we are capable we have enough talent in the squad and that is simple fact.

Samba wants away thats no secret.Journalists are unanimous in saying this Rovers team will end up rock bottom. We are ill prepared and in a mess.anyone who says we are not playing wonderful football and disrepects Kean or venkys or the rest of the entourage thats goes along with this circus is called every name under the sun.People can judge for themselves with results and the football thats dished up in the last few games.I rest my case.

Yup and yet we continue to lose. What does that tell you? After all our manager's demonstrated such good qualities and game assessment that any team would be proud to have him. Why don't we give him a whole season and then if he loses every game we can reload to the start of the season?
Question why we are 11 players lighter, question why we don't have an effective centre-half pairing on day 1 of the season. We laughed at Rangers when acquiring Goodwillie, how we did. And when they had a defensive crisis, they went and got a bl**dy defender to come in and play in an important game. Thats sensible management. We'll put our defensive midfielder in instead alongside a 19 year old kid, marshalled by a 35 year old veteran and a defender who is much more comfortable at left wing. And protect him with David Dunn!!
Anyhows we got a result tonight and are no longer the strongest team in the league.
Still we
