Looks like Mowatt might get the number 10 role under Monk
He played number 10 against Shelbourne and by all accounts looked back to his best, especially after a poor season last year
Would we all be happy for Mowatt to be our number 10? I know from previous posts on here that we all wanted to sign a number 10.
For me Mowatt played in his best position is a key player for us
Mowatt as number 10

You could stay same about every player we've got bar about 3

We need a better number 10 than mowatt but right now he probably is our best one. I woulda think we'd play 3 attackers across the front so we could see mowatt, Dallas, Roofe, Sacko, Grimes all fighting for spots in their.

can also see Murphy been a regular under Monk.

Mowatt is defo a 10 but needs to be more involved in the game. At the moment his main attribute is his finishing.
To be a 10 he needs to create more and be more creative as the link between midfield and attack.

I would settle for him being a 9.5, even a 9.2!

I think he holds back the entire team but maybe I'm wrong eh

Mowatt for me is a liability losing the ball far to easily no pace sorry not for me and has not signed a new contract

Wasn't a liability when played in his correct positon

I find it strange people would rather a player with rock all ability but pace than someone like Mowatt who is actually good at football.
Play him in a position like left wing where his lack of pace affects his game, then yes it's a problem. Play him in an attacking midfield role, he will score goals and get assists like under Redfearn. Fact is, since he got our player of the year he hasn't played in that position.

Will score 10 goals plus this season if played in right position, but needs the manager to put some faith in him otherwise would be better for his career to move on, had a good season last but one and last year just didn't work out for him.
