Mowatt as number 10

I think its the role that suits him best, doesn`t have the pace to track back then get forward for me. NO 10 role is perfect for him.

Hope the lad regains some form and chips in with 10 goals from that role. He has a shot on him so we know he can score.

Nothing to do with his pace, he's just not very mobile

Bowyer wasn't fast at all but very mobile

Mowatt looks to have hips that look heavy and almost make his movement ponderous. When u look at him running, he twists quite a lot and almost lunges. Technically he is an assert, but is very limited in his roles in the pitch, if he strays south of that final 3rd he is a liability.

Have always said that Mowatt reminds me of Lampard....doesn't seem like anything special, but played correctly chips in with a lot of goals from midfield.

We all know when played properly he can do a good job, problem with this club is getting rid off player's and having player's playing out off position doing an average job in replacing them, maybe the stand in coach see's more in Mowatt and wants to see how he does!..

This could be the plan because its said the team are a lot faster, he's one that gets stuck in and his shot, well, everybody knows about that!..

Wish he was a young Frank Lampard as it would mean he would be holding the European Cup aloft one day and getting a few goals for England. Love to see that happen but he is nowhere near that standard.

I would love to see him played there properly. He's an attacking midfielder and if played there, he will score goals and create chances. He was allowed to get forward under Redfearn and won us points.

If you play him in a deeper role or out wide like last season, he gets overrun and can't influence the game.

He's a good player though, could well get into double figures.

Is he good enough to be a no.10 in a team consistently in the top 6 of Championship? Go on Alex lad prove me totally wrong and win Championship player of the season and Promotion!!!!

Rev

You could stay same about every player we've got bar about 3

We need a better number 10 than mowatt but right now he probably is our best one. I woulda think we'd play 3 attackers across the front so we could see mowatt, Dallas, Roofe, Sacko, Grimes all fighting for spots in their.

can also see Murphy been a regular under Monk.

Mowatt is defo a 10 but needs to be more involved in the game. At the moment his main attribute is his finishing.

To be a 10 he needs to create more and be more creative as the link between midfield and attack.

I would settle for him being a 9.5, even a 9.2!

I think he holds back the entire team but maybe I'm wrong eh

Mowatt for me is a liability losing the ball far to easily no pace sorry not for me and has not signed a new contract

Wasn't a liability when played in his correct positon

I find it strange people would rather a player with rock all ability but pace than someone like Mowatt who is actually good at football.

Play him in a position like left wing where his lack of pace affects his game, then yes it's a problem. Play him in an attacking midfield role, he will score goals and get assists like under Redfearn. Fact is, since he got our player of the year he hasn't played in that position.

Will score 10 goals plus this season if played in right position, but needs the manager to put some faith in him otherwise would be better for his career to move on, had a good season last but one and last year just didn't work out for him.
