Leeds Utd v Brentford Matchday Thread

Here it is then, the last game before Christmas, so I'd like to take this opportunity to wish All Leeds United Fans and their Families a Very Happy Christmas
And of course the same message goes to the Players and All connected with Our Club

Well Brentford the visitors then, not a game to be taken lightly especially with our somewhat threadbare squad, but hopefully GM can pull off another masterstroke and give us an early Christmas Present

Venue ..Elland Road.. Date.. 17th Dec ... Kick Off 15:00hrs

Team News
Leeds United
Wood looking v/doubtful, Bridcutt to be assessed,Pablo and O'Kane still out, But Ant should be back in contention and Philips should once again be available .

Brentford
Brentford boss Dean Smith has no fresh injury concerns Lasse Vibe and Tom Field came into the side for the 1-0 win at Bristol City on Tuesday and are expected to keep their places.
Alan McCormack will also be hopeful of a return, although Callum Elder (calf), Rico Henry (shoulder), Lewis Macleod (knee) and Alan Judge (leg) remain sidelined.

No easy games, but I'm hoping the confidence within the Team and the passion generated by the Elland Road Faithful will prove too much for Brentford...........Another 2-0 scoreline for me with Sacko getting both goals ( why not ??)

Another below par performance but come away with the points, would not have happened in the last few seasons

We take the points and move on. Now lets get the takeover sorted before Xmas and the players signed in January so we can push on.

Cheers Highland. Another great thread

Were the better team tonight. Brentford set up for a draw. Nice to see teams worried when they come to ER.

What is the news on Taylor?

3 points - early Christmas present - don't care if performance is so so - a win is all that matters from here on in.

Sounds like we weren't at our best and we missed Wood but 3 points is 3 points.

We deserved the win, they tried to play for a draw and kept the ball well. We really struggled up too with our Wood, need him back asap.

Not a great performance.

Too many stray passes, passes that were hit so long Ussain Bolt would have had no chance of reaching them.

A miracle win, but 3 points is 3 points!
