No captain who can command.
Wrong midfield set up, but injuries take a big part of blame for today.
ETH should be drilling it into everyone, we defend in their half. The more we pass it around our area, the more they attack.
Hojlund looks good, if fit play in most games.
But Erik, sort the midfield out. It was not too bad last year, but this year is meh.
Hopefully our new signing plus Mount can make a difference.
Get a new CB.
What went wrong today.

If we were playing for the draw we’d have left Antony on, as he’s better defensively than the other attackers but worse than them at attacking.

The Garnacho sub was risky and very nearly paid off, perfectly timed.

He literally won a trophy with them last season

Yes yes yes. Awb and Dalot would be 2nd / 3rd choice at city for example, if they're lucky.

Like Busby said it was a game of fine margins and considering we ended up with our 4th and 5th choice CBs and back up LB it could have been a lot worse. It was a game with 2 teams not playing at their best and it really could have gone either way. Always hard to read too much this early in the season, hopefully we can get back to working on things in training and the Sancho incident doesn’t have much effect on the squad.

MU52 totally agree with you about Bruno old boy, he isn’t a leader you very rarely see him trying to rally the troops, he doesn’t lead by example too many times you see just walking around instead of chasing back.
On another note I don’t think Onana is the right person to have in goal, he flaps at corners and crosses.
Worrying times!

Yep, Garnacho isn’t a sub we make to see out games. He’s a risk/reward player because of his threat in attack, but it leaves us more vulnerable out of possession - especially when it is for Antony, leaving both him and Rashford as wingers that leave us exposed.

I actually think he's one of our hardest workers, often to his own detriment.

Obviously seeing things differently here, for me he’s not a leader and in truth we’re missing leaders across the team!

Also, I assumed the reason Erik took off both your CB's was because they were both on bookings and he didn't want them getting sent off?
I didn't notice any injuries, but I didn't really look out for them tbf, so could be wrong on that.

They're both fine btw

Lindelof came off because he was ill and Martinez hurt himself.
