Shaw

Ten Hag on Luke Shaw injury: “Not only a stunt. I can't say... I can confirm tests will follow to see what happens".

“It's clear that when you go out, it's not good"

As much as this guy makes us look like a half decent football team when he’s on the pitch, he is made of breadsticks. I think we should be looking to move on all of our defenders now, Varane and Butcher aside.

Maybe Dalot could stick about. Shaw has been at the club for almost 10 years now and hasn’t even hit 200 league appearances yet. He’s played just 15 times for us this season so far too and we are in mid February.

We also should avoid the long pre-season tour that we had every summer. Even Maguire got injured when he’s been almost unbreakable for 2 years

I don’t think Dalot is sh-t and he’s showing signs of improvement recently but I don’t think he’s good enough moving forward as a club. But for now he’ll have to do and does possess some qualities that EtH wants in a fullback.

I guess this summer depending on our budget the priority signings are a CB, CM and RB. We also need to look at a new LB, LW, RW and ST but obviously can’t get them all this summer.

Can we get another nickname for the Butcher please.

I expect a CB given the moniker Butcher to be able to play most of the games not out injured all the time. Being over 5ft would help as well.

Maybe it's the boots they wear or the pitches at old Trafford or Carrington?
Either way there's no way Shaw is 6 foot 1

It’s troubling that we’re saying the same about Martinez now as well.

Possibly. His three injuries have all been unlucky impact injuries (broken foot, surgery that didn’t quite work for the same injury and then Coufal landing on his knee awkwardly). So far he doesn’t seem to pick up muscle injuries like Shaw does which hopefully means that this season is a bit of an anomaly. Would be very annoying if Martinez started picking up more injuries though.

This is true, but I just don’t trust Manchester United Football Club to keep players injury free. We finally broke Maguire down as well. Pednandes is the only one we haven’t broken yet.

Aren't INEOS restructuring our medical team as well and we took some top physio from Arsenal? Hopefully we can improve in that area, we've had a poor injury record for years.

I believe so, but my understanding is that they have a limited role when it comes to injury prevention, they are rehab.

Didn't know Ten Hag lived in Stockport as well.
