Ten Hag out - still

A few people on here have flip flopped after last nights win but as great a feeling as it was to lift the cup I didn’t really learn anything new about us. We’ve played that way under Jose and Ole and even under Ten Hag a few times (all three games against Liverpool this season) and in a few other big games.

I give Ten Hag full credit for organising the team to play that way and if/when he is sacked he definitely walks away with a bit more dignity but nothing that happened last night makes up for a season of shocking lows and even his biggest supporters on here can’t really point to any particular reason they believe next season we’ll start to see what he wants to do with this team to make it a more sophisticated version of the park the bus and break tactician in big games. And it’s really the smaller games where he struggles when we have to actually think and pick the lock.

Funnily enough just before the game I thought he may stay another season but after seeing some of his comments and a few other things I think he’s definitely off this week and we’ll appoint someone else.

I’ve always sat on the fence on this one… but what made me more ETH in was not so much the performance or the win but the way the players celebrated with and showed a camaraderie with ETH in the final game at OT and at Wembley. I think a lot of these players believe in him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Call me cynical, but i think the players were just generally happy and celebrating. Don't get me wrong, i don't think any of them hate him or anything like that, but do they really warm to him or truly believe in him. General performances suggest not.
To me, it was just a natural reaction to winning
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Cup finals are perfect opportunities for players who don’t usually make the effort required to turn up and get their medals. If they were that committed against Bournemouth at home and West Ham away maybe Ten Hag wouldn’t be sweating on his job
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was the team that played those two teams the same as yesterday's?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Does it need to be? The managers job is to get any combination of players in the squad who are out on the pitch to approach the game with the right attitude and drive and tactical instruction. If he has to rely on a very specific set of 11 players in his squad to succeed then he’s not the guy for us as in 2024 injuries to key players are happening more than ever and it’s very much a squad game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As you are comparing , then yes it needs to be the same.
Do you honestly belief having Lindelof and Evans doesn't weaken the team. Plus the loss of Shaw and AWB.
The loss of form by Casimiro.
Think how much better our forward line would have looked with Greenwood and Sancho.
Martial to rotate with Rasmus.
He's had a bloody difficult time and come out with yesterday.

I don't disagree with your post but... Sancho? He's absolute crap based on his united career
You do come out with some waffle sometimes
Martial too.... Come on now.
The rest I agree with.

Why do you want Pochettino then, if that’s the case?

Because he showed at Chelsea he could deal with an injury crisis and start to make the side look competent and with an exciting style of football. I don’t think any of us can see signs of that happening with another year of HagBall

Poch started to get things looking better once he started getting his squad back together.

No he didn’t. Chelsea were a mess for most of the season when they had injury problems. Once it became somewhat manageable they improved.

It’s so dumb to dismiss the impact of our injury crisis. Liverpool lost a few centre backs and went from champions to scraping top four.

True but I swear Liverpool's first 11 was brilliant yet their subs bench was pretty poor in comparison

They had to play Henderson and Fabinho in defence at one stage. If a team as good as Liverpool suffer massively due to injuries, what do you think is going to happen to a team with lesser players?
