Need to stop waiting for permission from Sheff Utd and Ipswich and sign Smozdics. Not exactly cheap for his age but he's banging goals in again.

He’s actually a very similar player to Piroe with a similar strike rate…would need to change set up to get the best out of Szmodics and like you said Shaun he’s going to be costly. I’d be inclined to spend on a creative midfielder instead.

Personally I hope we throw money at Blackburn
and sign Sammie Szmodics. Bloody goal machine.
Stick him in our side - with the chances we create -
and he'd score 30+ goals. Done it again tonight.

Piroe managed 40 in 2 seasons in a poor Swansea side. Farke found a way to reduce that output.

Personally losing faith in the man in charge. Sounds harsh after picking up 90 points last season I know.

I understand the frustration, Snow, and Batty, but this is not only down to Farke, it's down to the recruitment team as a whole. They are working within the limitations of our finances. Yes, we have sold players, but we have not brought in 80+ million in cash straightaway. It will be more like a quarter of that. If you then look at our debt repayment for this year, I am surprised there is any money left for recruiting new players. Where do we get fifteen million for Rowe from? Where do we get twelve million for Szmodics from? This makes me think we are most likely to recruit in the loan market.
At this stage, I am prepared to accept that the Portsmouth result was an outlier. It was bizarre. But it was just one game. We will tighten up against West Brom and the Owls, I am sure of this.
We are one game into a long season. There is such an abundance of talent in our squad, we know we can compete at the top end of the table. Let's keep it positive.

The club have the debt repayment, but that has nothing to do with PSR at this point and we are in a very healthy position on that front. Trouble is everyone knows we have money and they want us to pay over the odds.

We have 2 wins from the last 9 games in the league, 3 from 12 if you count the play-offs. I'm sure we'll all feel more positive if we start picking results up again.

Any other day we win 5-1 on Saturday................we need a few players, but can we calm down a bit

Me, club and Farke have a lot to do before
I start calming down. History tells us what are
actions have brought us so far. Are we
repeating that history? Hope not.

They may get a run out in the EFL cup but I’m not sure we can count them yet.

That would make 4 keepers - Messlier (technically, anyway) Darlow and Cairns (x2)!

The fact we have the smallest squad in THIS league shows the lack of investment and interest in the club by current and past owners. It also debunks the belief that a small squad at Leeds came from MB.

Let's hope we sign a few gooduns before the window ends
