You lost but I can see faith and urgency in your team that we invariably lack. Impressed by your speed delivery of the ball. The Tottenham game reminds me of the 3-0 down about at half-time 2 decades ago, you came back and won 5-3. Lapses will come, but keep the faith in your coach. Good times are back!

Yeah i forgot a RWB too. Definitely needed.
Dalot is much better on the right than he is on the left. I'd keep him and add another one to battle him for the role. I don't like him on the left at all and never have.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Amorim will bring in a left footed RWB to pair up with Amad.

Not a fan of this personally. I'd prefer a right footed player there so can provide the odd overlap when Amad comes inside.
Inverted wing backs is a step too far for me personally. Get a left footed one on the left and right footed one on the right and then let the 10's invert if they must. We need more natural balance and width in the team.

Look guys I agree, Amorim hasn’t had the time to show anything yet and needs more time - I just don’t get this angle that some are punting that it was much improved last night and you were unlucky
Nothing much has improved so far and you certainly weren’t unlucky last night - we repaid your keeper errors with our own
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldn’t say we were unlucky. We made stupid individual errors and we couldn’t finish our dinner, both of which cost us.
Outside of those, we had the best of what was pretty poor attacking play by both teams and better control of the ball (obviously the game states impacted both of those things). United's xG was 2.38; Spurs’ was 0.67.
I don’t think either team deserved to win, tbh. It was a nonsense game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The problem with XG is it doesn’t take into account who the chance falls to - a one on one for Hojlund is completely different to a one on one for Haaland. Uniteds strikers are more or less the worst finishers in the league - Hafi’s stats prove it. The Spurs defence could afford to give United forwards big chances - they just don’t score enough of them. Meanwhile you let us score direct from a corner - something that I thought was reserved for pub league football

People didn’t understand inverted wingers when they first appeared, or inverted fullbacks.
Amorim had right and left footed wingbacks at Sporting, and he chose to play left footed players at RWB every single week (Quenda and Catamo). Given that Amad can (and often does) go outside, if he can find another Quenda, who can do the same, he’ll be very happy.

We just like playing the Manchester sides this season, our defence keeps getting slandered on here but the aggregate score over those 3 games is 11-3 - what the faaack are you lot doing defensively.
Uniteds attack was poo as well, we basically had to score 2 goals for them and their 3rd was due to one of our biggest issues - defending against carthorses in the air.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your attack was hardly any better to be fair. You were given 3 goals, you could argue 4 because Martinez made Solanke look like a prime Henry
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes but 11 over 3 games, plus we’re the top scorers in the league. We score for faaacking fun - 9 in our last 2 or 13 in our last 4.
We have no issue with attack.
We can’t defend to save our lives yet still had to score a couple for United just to get them off the mark
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not new that utd have wasted a load of money on crap players. What is your point?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My point is, this keep the faith article is nonsense - what are you keeping faith in based on last night? Keep faith the opposition will gift us goals, keep faith that we can’t faaacking defend? Keep faith that at 3-0 down all our manager could do was the AVB poo squat?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bare in mind this OP is a bit weird

Lads, it's Spurs.
Another team on another night and this is why United get smashed United 7-0 sometimes. They kept pushing players forward and leaving acres of space at the back at 3-0 down and Spurs and Ange did nothing to punish that, allowing United to get back in it.
United still conceded 4 goals. I added a couple United defenders to my fantasy team thinking Amorim would make them a bit more solid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes lads its Spurs
thrashing City and Utd --- Moanchester belongs to Spurs

Tbh we don't know what the plan is.
Personally hope we keep some sort of natural balance and have left footed players on the left and right footed on the right. It gives you far more options on the ball if you do.
We shall find out over the summer I suppose.

The manager is still looking at who can play his system and who can’t.
Too early to judge and may as well just try to enjoy the ride.
