I'm like this with the cinema.
In fact I almost prefer going on my own than in company.

"Just forked out £3300 on laser eye surgery"

Miss Lexington had her's eyes done a few weeks ago. £1000 more expensive than what you've paid though, Pete. But she says it up there with the best money she's spent. Totally worth it.

aside from my wife I can barely bring myself to be in anyone elses company to be honest. That just happened one day around about 34 years old.
misery....
The London Eye Clinic in Harley Street.
It was a close run thing between them and Moorfields, but all-in-all they were brilliant.
And though Moorfields was £400 quid cheaper, it's not a lot when you're talking about eye surgery is it?

The procedure isn't painful at all apparently. Just feels a bit odd, like little pulses.
You'll have loads of eye drops to use afterwards though and you might need someone to drive you home as - at least in London - they don't like you using public transport for a couple of days after the treatment.
Until laser eye surgery actually mean being able to shoot lasers from your eyes then I don't wanna know.
90% of new bands/singers = Posh kids on a post-Uni gap year.

Hating modern music is a sign of growing old.
There's always good new stuff it's just you have to go out of your way to find it a bit more.

"I dont actually hate modern music, I hate mainstream music."
But what if Joe Bonamassa becomes hugely popular, does this make him mainstream? And would you hate him?
It's not the fact I dislike the music JJG, moreso that the music business has now been taken over but a bunch of middle-class twaaats, most of whom spout the same old nonsense as each other.

I think this has always been the case. It's just you don't notice it so much when you're younger.

I recorded one of those CH4 music things they put on late at night because I'd read good things about this new band, Django Django and I kinda liked the name.
Utter UTTER tuneless nonsense.
Why did these guys ever think forming a band would be a good idea when they're so talent-free?
I'll tell you why... they discovered a liking for the same music when they met at Uni whilst studying for a architecture degree.
Whoo-who... DEATH OR GLORY eh lads?
