OOOOOHH ! the Daily Mail !! The Judge bottled it !
menu,
The administrators tried to make a case, that Rangers could not be kept as a going concern, with new bidders, while Ticketus had their claim...Ticketus and Paul Murray's consortium blew that theory out the Park
Titanic- your posts sink with little trace m8y.
Read the administrators statement; they are chuffered to bits. Ticketus have just lost ANY bargaining power they had and WILL negotiate a price for their cheerio. The BIg Tax case is sorted, pence in the £, wee tax to be repaid.
Guesstimate? £35- £45m to exit administration with no debt. Come back Souness, and grow back the moustache. Poor McCluskey had just started sleeping again!!

Why? Ticketus' contract has been upheld
You do realise that the only winner today was Craig Whyte? He almost certainly has prefered creditor status, and of course still owns 83% of the shares.
Your little scenario is a millon miles away.
The ticketus contract has been ruled as not a contract just a debt. Ticketus cant do anything other than try to get money, some money back; they cant claim future season tickets, they cant liquidate Rangers or they get sweet FA. Its a good news day, but you just keep reading and believing the mhedia.....the empire will be striking back soon

I'll leave you to it...'daviecooper1' is more of a test
Well Irivine....why do you think bidders are bidding and the admisitrators are talking? Mr Whyte has helped Rangers clear an £18m bank debt and £75m tax bill for a CVA of ...£? we dont know but can guess that its around £30m. I wouldnt mind club sport 9, read their linkedin. I wouldnt mind TBK once they have ditched ticketus.....but the big blue shark is hovering
The ticketus contract has been ruled as not a contract just a debt
----------------------------------------------------
Hodge did not give a ruling on anything
ticketus as a creditor with more than 25% of the overall debt can scupper the CVA and sink the club.
Paul Clark, joint administrator, said: "We welcome the decisions announced by Lord Hodge today and view them as a significant step towards clarifying the future for Rangers Football Club.
"Lord Hodge has made it clear that the Ticketus arrangements do not mean Ticketus has property or real rights over seats at the stadium or, indeed, the proceeds from the sale of future season tickets."
..............................................................................
Ticketus are owed £24m either by a company in administration...or by Mr Whyte individually. What do you think Ticketus will do now? They will cut a deal.

Thats right optimus. Ticketus, in a huff will blow off £24m instead of taking say 50p in the £1 and taking £12m.....do keep up

Any words by Lord Hodge to that effect
The Muppet show those two(Clark and Whitehouse)should be on
You're out of your depth mate. Please enlighten me first of all with a link to the 'ruling' that was made today. I've pored over the judge's statement and I can't find one.
Craig Whyte is going to make around £30m from a cva you say. By that arithmetic someone is going to need to invest around £60m for the club to stand still. And that's before the result of the big tax case is known.

Ticketus and the Blue Knights sit in pole position to buy the club

Bhoys, let me help your frazzled brains sort this out
Rangers are in administration
Craig Whyte, major shareholder OWES Rangers money (He moved the ticketus money to Rangers to wavetower to the Bank) He is irrelevant.
The creditors are HMRC and Ticketus.
HMRC and Ticketus want as much money as possible in a CVA deal.
4 Bidders have made offers.
I believe TBK have tainted their bid by going into bed too early with Ticketus who may end up with nowt.
Hence...Mr Kennedy; rich driven and will run Rangers well.
Come on in Brian and Graeme. Cheeri

He owns 83% of the shares. He is probably the preferred creditor and has control of the assets. D&P might think he's irrelevent but that opinion will need to be tested in court, their record so far isn't good.
Either pay Ticketus the first 25000 season tickets for 4 years and see the bidders melt away.
Or put their £24m into the creditors pot and see the offer to creditors greatly reduced.
It's catch 22 for D&P
