What does being a supporter mean to you?

I'll tell you what you want it to mean, instead.

It means blindly supporting the manager, whether he be ruining your clubs chances by playing terrible tactics, making mistakes and staying with them, blaming defeats on tiredness and crushing young players confidence by telling them he only played because there was nobody else and that he is not the way forward.

Ahhhh,

The World's self proclaimed numero uno tactician is now a mind reader!

Your skills hold no bounds TOOR. Bar being socially inept of course.

Sorry Robbing that I didn't give you the answer you wanted in saying it means supporting your players and manager etc etc, so that you could then take the morale high ground and say so why all the Kenny out etc etc but I have a brain.

Being a supporter means supporting your club and wanting what's best for it. Some people believe that Kenny leaving and a new manager, who is good tactically should be installed and that is what is best for the club. That doesn't mean these people aren;t supporters, unfortunately for you and your childish article.

It was a simple enough article TOOR. It even has a generic basis. One that you seem unable to answer in a mature fashion.

Robbing we all know the agenda you have, you've made that clear and the direction this article was going to go in, once you got your answers. However as I said before, wanting what's best for your club and believing a change of manager is best, does not mean you don't support the club.

My God you're wierd sometimes. There is no agenda.

I must say that I've seen very few people on this site who have more arguments than yourself. Long drawn out pointless ones at that. I'd of course like to point the finger at others but the common denominator, you, is hard to ignore.

The Liverpool Way - by Robbing Hoody.

Fans have to blindly support the manager (unless they aren't a local hero of course).

Fans are not allowed an opinion.

Fans should not be critical of anything to club does at any point.

Managers should never be sacked (Hodgson, Rafa).

I could go on.

Really. I'll assume you have some kind of source or credance to that post.

Should be easy enough to find where I have written anything like that.

Off you pop.

I'm beginning to loath OOT's.

So what is 'The Liverpool Way'? Our reliance on things that worked in the jurassic age are starting to make me feel a lil sick.

It comes as no surprise to me that you don't know.

JA606 - Keep commenting, creating and debating. I do all of these things. I do what this site is intended for, if people disagree with my opinions, or I disagree with theirs, we enter into debate. If you don't like people that disagree with you, talk into the mirror.

No go on Robbing. Explain it to me...

I just want to see what you think it all means.

So your first post on this thread is intended to add to debate is it?

You're a credit to LFC.

I bet when you chose us you thought you were going to get loads of glory didn't you. Must be a little dissapointed. Still, at least you did not waste any money on tickets.

Sorry TOOR, you're not allowed to expect success from one of the biggest clubs on the planet. Some other fan (our statuses are all equal to the club) said so.

Now it's coming out.

Admittedly my comment didn't inspire debate but it cut down the long drawn process and we got to where you wanted it. You wanted people to say supporting the club, manager etc etc but you didn't like it when it didn;t happen, I apologise but you're here a lot quicker than you would have been with a serious answer.

Ah the old glory supporter taunt. It will be woolyback etc next. That's your type.

Your arrogance holds no bounds really does it.

So you're actually telling me what I think, what I'm going to say and what I mean.

Tool. The thread was not intended that way in any shape or form. If you are unable to "create and debate" don't kid.

I don't think you are as it goes. Disrespectful and arrogant. Is that why you "support" us? From your armchair and all.

Woops

Robbing, I believe a fan should want the best for his club and not any of the particular people at the club. I want the best for Liverpool FC and if changing the manager is what I believe to be the best for LFC (as do many other posters on here) then that's what I want.

I support LFC when it comes to the games no matter who is in charge and watched every game I could under Roy for example but once the whistle has been blown I'm critical where criticism is due.

Yeah, sure. It's pathetic now. I'm afraid more and more people are starting to question Kenny's tactical side and you'll have noticed no 'Dalglish' chants and booing upon the final whistle on Saturday(woolybacks attend games also sometimes). I am not the only person with the opinion that the manager should change, the topic is out there and this forum provides the platform to debate on it, so throwing glory supporter taunts, The Liverpool Way taunts and creating articles, set up so as you can take the moral high ground and say people aren't supporters if they don;t support the manager, go against all of it.

posted on 26/3/12

I agree. I was simply interested in what people think constitutes a supporter. Unfortunately these boys have an alterior agenda it seems.
