Erm, Spurs had to do this all the time in Europa

Thursday and then Sunday

Typic c havs, trying to cheat the rules.

The way Chelsea are going they won't have to worry about European football at all next season. Wonder what they'll moan about then?

Take a look at the rankings, if we have one more season like this one, in the next 2 or 3 years, it's likely we will only have 3 teams in the CL, so don't try and correct me if you don't know what you're on about

This will be slightly controversial but sod it…

This could be solved by having the Chelsea game on the Saturday… okay so that means Liverpool must play on the anniversary of Hillsborough. If its best for all clubs involved then I’m sorry but for me that’s the only outcome. Expecting some grief now…

Why? Surely they could pay their respects on such a day with a minutes silence?

As far an I am aware they don't refuse to play on this date?

Exactly. You said it yourself, it will take at least another 2/3 years until the Prem is (possibly) affected.

And as this is the first time in ages since only one EPL team has made it this far, i wont worry too much bout it for now.

As such, why would we (Spurs) want Chelsea to be given an extra day to recover? Makes no sense at all.

As I'm not in a position of responsibility within the club I really don't know but my fan's viewpoint says no, I don't think we did have a choice.

But your hypothesising as much as me. Unless you've got stonewall proof (link?) that the club were given a choice then it's simply a difference of opinions.

Sky determine what games they want live and the contract with the clubs dictates they HAVE TO fit in with Sky's scheduling unless there is intervention from the police etc.

You are just guessing, I have spoken with a friend of mine who works in Isleworth and he has confirmed that clubs have to go along with the Sky schedule, even if it is a late decision.

do sky even have the fa cup?

On top of that, no club in the Prem (bar one or 2) are in a financial position to refuse the tv money deals, so they know they have us all by the short & curly's.

i say we start a revolution who is with me.

Sky do not have the FA Cup, however the comment was that clubs have a choice of when they play. Would suggest that ITV/ESPN would have similar stances to Sky re matches.
