Not bitter towards Barca at all, just get a bit bored of every commentator creaming themselves over everything Messi does, while people like Iniesta are overlooked for their contribution.

Cesc looks a better player nowadays as well don't you think?

Messi should go to Italy. Napoli seems a fitting destination.

Nothing about football makes me bitter, it's just a game.

barca has to be the most boring team i've seen play this sport, ronaldo is the most complete of the 2 messi is a street player with an imense talent in the midle feeding him constant defense spliting passes.

Messi is better than Ronaldo?Oh sadly he is based on the amount of gaols he is scoring but Ronaldo is much better player to watch in my opinion.

Regardless of what Messi reaches this season, next season, or in fact the season after that. As long as he looks like a lost lamb with Argentina, he CAN'T be dimmed as a COMPLETE PLAYER. He's an immense player ...... AT BARCELONA. Calling Messi complete would be like calling Neymar complete.

CR7 on the other hand has been crash tested in two contrasting environments. And before people start the old argument, "but what's Ronaldo done with Portugal?", that's adjacent to the point. What matters is he's entered into two stages, both the pinnacles of their footballing cultures, has trumped one and come a close second in the other.

There's a difference between being the best in the world and being complete, until Messi gets that level of depth and i'm sure it's not far off, he can't be lebelled as complete. And CERTAINLY doesn't deserve to be entered into the 'best ever' discussion.

That's such a dumb argument. Giggs, Scholes, Maldini, Xavi, nobody says that same about them. It won't make Messi more or less talented if he goes to another team or not, he's the same and Ronaldo plays in La Liga so it's easy to compare.

Messi actually had a good World Cup in 2010. Don't expect a simpleton that mentioned Neymar at the end of his paragraph, alongside Messi, to understand.

How is it 'adjacent' to the point if Ronaldo is judged on the same thing?

Playing in the Prem and La Liga, isn't the same as guiding your country to a world cup.

So let me guess Ronaldo is in the 'best ever' argument based on your laughable points?

They've never been lebelled as complete footballers.

what's your definition of a complete player?

Dubbed.....

Complete misread all my points, expected nothing less from you Dubbed

I referenced Neymar as a means of disproving the OP's argument, not proving my argument. Course Messi's better than Neymar, but the latter has perfected the Brazilian League. Therefore i guess he's a complete footballer then?

It was adjacent to the point because although it's related, it's irrevlant. CR7 has been prolific in England & Spain (interestingly not Portugal), Messi has been more than prolific in Spain but ONLY Spain. By his standards, Messi has been woeful to put it mildly on the grand stage for Argentina, which up until now has been his only other footballing environment.

Don't expect people to see my argument, after all it's certainly unique isn't it, but at least follow it properly if you're gunna bother replying to me. K

This debate has always been i strange one for me to contribute to. I feel messi is the better footballer but also think cr7 is the more complete too. I know that it doesn't make sense but is that even possible? I'm always lost on this one. Anyway i love the fat ronaldo and zidane better than both of them.

gascoine was better than any of these players before he did his knee, with the possible exception of ronaldo7.
