And poor finishing. However, I still maintain that when Kenny initially came after Hodgson's inevitable departure, your players did play with a nothing to lose mindset. That's why you ended the season relatively well in 10/11.

If we played better than we should have then it was nothing to do with 'nothing to lose' mindset. In fact, I find that argument ridiculous. There was an air of optimism when the 'King' returned and this fired up the players.

Got_Better never once predicted Liverpool to challenge for the title, he is the pinnacle of optimism but he never predicted that, only in joke articles. Aggers? You must be having a laugh. He is like the Liverpool version of you, everything is doom and gloom. We can't sign anybody, we don;t have money and we don't have the players, according to him.

Why is it ridiculous? Expectations were low and all the morale had been sucked out of the club by Hodgson proving to be out of his depth to match Liverpool's ambitions. There was optimism when Kenny signed and I'm not denying that, but you did go out with a nothing to lose mentality. It was one of your worst ever seasons in English football to start with, of course you had a nothing to lose mindset.

Again, I find this nothing to lose mindset ridiculous. It was January when Dalglish came in. At the end of the season we ran out of steam and missed out on Europe altogether. We lost out on Europe. There was much to lose.

Last season was a bad season. We finished 3rd with no silverware. 3rd is still failure. We should be doing better and we can do better. But we are not. So with what the heights of our expectations and ambitions should be, we are failing.

When did I say we couldn't buy players? And when did I say they weren't good enough?

Copy and Paste would be nice. Evidence to support your uncorroborated claims.
