Quite amazing really. But I should expect no less from utter planks like yourself.
We've lost bigger players than Robin in the past but still finished in the top 4 and we can do it again.

Unlike Liverpool fans, I'm not stupid enough to make wildly optimistic statements before the season has actually started. In fact, we're still a while away.

That's nice. Now making things up. Is there something wrong with you? I mean mentally, are you ok? I'm sure I would have predicted Liverpool to finish above Arsenal, I'm a Liverpool fan, of course I would have and I'll do the same again, I have faith in my club and am always more optimistic than I should be but to predict the demise of another club and mock their fans because of it...sorry but no, not my style. I'm an adult.
"And even IF you didn't, Liverpool fans (as a collective) were still stupid enough to make wildly optimistic claims before the season had even started. And some of them have started again now that Robin looks set to leave. Like I said, lesson not learned."
Yes they were optimistic claims but as a fan it is normal to be optimistic.
Now I'll say again, I could go back for every last one of you, in fact for you Samir, I have done and find silly claims which didn't come true. I just thought I'd leave the OP with his classic, since he was the one who thought he was being funny and clever with this article.
Arrangements can be made to make you look a silly person also, if you keep this bitter generalisation up. Now stop whining. I made the OP look stupid, he did that same to many others. It's ok, we move on.
''I have faith in my club and am always more optimistic than I should be but to predict the demise of another club and mock their fans because of it...sorry but no, not my style.''
There's being pragmatic and then there's bordering on delusion - sorry, but as it turns out, I was right. I said that Kenny had done well for you when he came in for Hodgson because expectations for Liverpool had fell and they played with a ''nothing to lose'' mindset. When King Kenny then had a full season with you, yes, he won you a Cup, but you finished 8th in the league, when your target was 4th. Miserable failure.
In fact, some of you were even predicting that you could win the league title or finish 2nd in the league, ignoring the obvious fact your players are not good enough.
Oh and as for me making things up? Sorry, but that's not my style.
''and find silly claims which didn't come true.''
Find one silly claim that I made. And no, WUMming doesn't count.
''I'm an adult.''
Well....I'm not too sure about that.
"There's being pragmatic and then there's bordering on delusion - sorry, but as it turns out, I was right. Kenny's failure was nothing to do with expectations or a 'nothing to lose' mindset. They were purely and simply due to him changing the system and sticking by a failing system.
In details, I doubt you're interested but in the off chance that you are, Kenny played most of the season with Suarez as a lone striker. Suarez cannot play that role, he is a creative forward who likes to face defenders straight on, he doesn't like to play on the shoulder of a defender or with his back to defenders and hold the ball up and pass it on. So he drifts wide and into midfield, which makes our wingers redundant as they have nobody to cross to and they have to turn back and pass it backwards. Gradually the opposition defence starts to push up, having no real threat to worry about and our midfield gets further back. So to cut a long story short, tactics which didn't suit our players were the problem last season.
"In fact, some of you were even predicting that you could win the league title or finish 2nd in the league, ignoring the obvious fact your players are not good enough."
Huh? I never saw anybody predicting winning the league or coming second. Since you've demonstrated that you make things up already in this thread alone, I'm going to assume this is another case of that.

And poor finishing. However, I still maintain that when Kenny initially came after Hodgson's inevitable departure, your players did play with a nothing to lose mindset. That's why you ended the season relatively well in 10/11.
''Huh? I never saw anybody predicting winning the league or coming second.''
Got_Better and Aggers Right Elbow off the top of my head spring to mind. Also there were plenty of allusions in the OP to it.
''You spent the first month of the season complaining about the signing of AOC and saying Wenger should go for a start.''
I complained about the PRICE of AOC. I was annoyed because we spent up to £12.5m on him and other players like Matuidi, Vidal and a couple of others who we were linked with had went to other clubs for less money, when a week previously, Gazidis had said we didn't have funds to compete, even though we didn't need to break the bank to acquire said players. So I was annoyed with the CEO lying to our faces.
I wanted Wenger Out then and I want him out now - Whilst it is admirable that we are actually making early signings for once, the future of our talisman and main man is now clear and it's a case of going one step forward, two backward.
I am hoping that we do have a successful season, but am also adamant that Wenger is still part of the problem at Arsenal and things may not change for the good until he steps down as manager.
There have been numerous occasions where we've had some excellent players in our squad, yet the problem has remained the same each year. You have to ask yourself: should it have taken him 5/6 years to finally identify a problem that could have been rectified had we brought someone else in as manager?
I believe we need more innovation and a new approach. Whether Wenger has truly changed remains to be seen.
