TRR

It's hardly a news flash when people are unhappy in defeat and happy in victory...

It's the world over and the way humans are wired...!?

My months absence was planned... I was getting ratty!!!

posted on 9/4/12

And you've come back ratty!

The point is, MT, Coyle and the team proved us wrong last time. I think they can do it again.

Games are running out TRR...

And then more of the same next season. No development or growth in ideas and tactics...

CEF - this ain't ratty, just frustration at people's diminishing expectations and standards...

That's why I laughed - I wasn't having a dig!!

TRR summed it up very well in his OP. It's a relegation battle, and has been for months. Still think we will survive and then next season is where OC earns his stripes.

I know you weren't digging!

With OC we will be in a relegation fight until we are relegated. And that my fellow trotters is my opinion regardless of resources, love and Robbie Blake..

That's the side of the fence I roll..... But it doesn't make me any less of a fan than anyone..

I think the bitterness is because we actually deserved something today. We could have been two up before the "amazing" (Quote BBC) goal. A point, moving onto 30 would have been a real boost.

Luckily for us, there are 4 teams around us who are just as bad. Villa missed another opportunity to basically be safe. They play United (A) and Sunderland (H). If they only pick up 1 point, which isn't unlikely, then we must consider our match with them winnable, and go there with some belief. If we get 4 points from the next two games, I think it will give us the momentum to move away from the relegation zone. Prefarably beating Villa, so that they will be well and truely sucked into the scrap.

A lot rides on how the other teams do in the next few days. I look at Wigans next few games with no envy whatsoever. Similarly with QPR. We must use this to our advantage and build a 3/4 point gap going into the last 3/4 games.

With the injuries and luck we've had this season, I think avoiding relegation would be an okay result.

This season we have took 2/3rds of our points from matches against the bottom 4. Unfortunately we don't have to play any of them again, honestly can't see us getting more than 5 points now. To say Coyle has proved people wrong in the last 3 weeks is a ridiculous statement.

Wow Mallorca - I never actually picked up that you thought that!!!

I thought all our debates were about this season. Do you genuinely think that OC can never be a good Prem manager?

It's a big statement and must be depressing for someone so obviously passionate about BWFC.

That's what I believe CEF.

In life, you learn by your mistakes and experiences.. As a kid, you touched the hot kettle once, you see, learn and develop..

OC is a very limited manager which is compensated by the fact he's a nice guy, former player and friendly to the media.. His background staff are no names and I see nothing in terms of development over 2 years.. In general I think his transfer market skills are below average...

If he was not Owen Coyle, the manager with the same record would have parted BWFC by now...

Loyalty (Blind) and compensation paid to the Dingles have kept him here... Certainly not results... Just promises and spin.

IMO!!!!!

Rock : Keep BWFC in Prem.

Hardplace : Reduce wagebill, reduce age of squad and get rid of deadwood.

That's where OC is currently stuck.

posted on 9/4/12

I don't accept that...

Tactics and decisions as vital as resources..

How many games have I been left stumped by his decisions! Certainly more than wage bill has entered my head.

posted on 9/4/12

Equal importance.

I do agree with you about the backroom staff. OC def needs to do something in that area before next season.

As I said on another thread, assuming we stay up, first 10 games next season will be where I will judge him. He has 1 more Summer transfer window for me.

"He has 1 more Summer transfer window for me."

Very interesting comment that.. Certainly not a comment to make about someone your happy with...

Truth is, you're hoping Coyle come good.. Because if younthought he was already, you wouldn't have said it.....

Well todays trip up to Newcastle ended like I thought with another defeat. The workrate was very good, but the utilisation of the ball again was poor with players without the skill and ability expected at this level.
Lord Pratley simply not good enough
Eagles- Again championship level
Ream- Poor again today, not good enough
Steinnson- Not good enough, poor with and without the ball.
Wheater-Too slow, cant turn and no pace
Where do we go from here?
Well the championship !

I'll tell you what is interesting. I have never once in all our discussions ever said I am happy with Coyle. Not once - promise!!

I firmly stated that we will stay up (still to be proven).
I firmly stated that we shouldn't sack Coyle (in December).

I have not once been happy with this season or Coyle's tactics.

I have inadvertantly been bracketed as an OC apologist / love-child / blind believer, etc, etc

So WHAT are you saying?

posted on 9/4/12

Poor performances?

"They were better than us, the keeper kept us in it, there's no way they'll go down, they were superb"- Alan Pardew

Yes taking the positives out of a game is an overused cliche but sometimes it's exactly what should be done.

posted on 9/4/12

Woody, it's when a manager hates us that I become pleased....

Big Sam taught me that.

posted on 9/4/12

I still think we will stay up.
I still think it would have been wrong to change manager so close to January.

Ultimately as a fan who really cares (like you), I want what's best for the club. If that proves to be OC then great. If not, I will support the next man.

Time will tell. Hope you're right.

But think I am.

Do you know what rowbot your wrong I have been on here. Get your facts right. I have said positive things about coyle. Maybe your narrow and pathetic view on things mean you can't see the bigger picture about how poor coyle has been. This thread naming other posters is pathetic but maybe that's just you. Maybe you should list others like Mallorca who criticise coyle.

Darren Prately is usually in good positions to enable us to do this

Said by someone who knows nothing about football!

Petrov, calling me pathetic is, well...pathetic, which smacks of irony.

I'll tell you what, I am all for a debate, but when you stry with the insults, I become more than a bit unhappy.

The next time you talk to me about respect, I'll remind you of this. I'll mention you if I want, it helped me prove my point, there is nothing against it.

Hey, the Pratley thing is my opinion against yours, respect it or do one.

In fact you should retract what you said and apologise. You have no idea of peoples personal circumstances whether they were ill or had other commitments. Who on gods earth made TRR the 606 usage monitor?
