Trigger, what do you expect Coyle to do, to prove his passion? Come out and say stupid things in public? he is a professional, and has to act like one .....
When I have said don't take too much heed to what you read in papers, I mean transfer rumours, not interviews with managers .....
I respectfully disagree, Trigger.
I think this argument that Coyle isn't passionate is only based on the fact that we are near the relegation zone and he doesn't do what you want him to do.
That doesn't mean that he isn't passionate.
Trig coyle is passionate and so are you. Problem is you pay bwfc for it and coyle gets paid. Passion is about the only thing he has got right. I say they should employ you trig so that you can make a hash of tactics and signings but jump up and down on the sidelines waving and clapping then afterwards tell people how much you love the club.

maybe this is correct robot and I take your point - maybe I wouldn't even notice this if we were doing well. to me though he comes across as simply not bothered or at least without any understanding of the precarious position we find ourselves in as a club... he comes across as nieve, soft even. in the state we are in I expect a real 'battle cry' we need a gladiator now not a nice wet lettuce.
did you ever see the carsberg team talk commercial from just before the world cup? that's the kind of inspirational thing coyle should be doing pre match and at half time...an inspiring, rousing 'churchillesque' never surrender style speech to really get the players blood pumping... i think he is incapable of doing this as hes too soft (maybe this is why I think he does not really care)
I cant imagine his half time team talks being remotely inspiring, productive or including any constrictive criticism - obviously, I cant prove this, but the fact we come out usually worse in the 2nd half surely proves whatever he is doing is not working?
Big Sam could have sorted us out

im up for that
Just for the opportunity to jump up and down on the touchline looking like I really know what im doing...it beats sitting in the dugout knowing you dont know what your doing...
my results couldn't get any worse...
only problem is, as im not an ex-player id be hounded out of a job after my first loss... quite possibly after 90 mins
It's up to you how you perceive passion, or how tou think a manager should manage. It goes without saying that it's quite clear that my view on it is different from yours.
I think Coyle has lost his temper a bit and given the team a rollocking at half time. Making 2 suns at half time against Fulham suggests that he have them the hair dryer treatment during that 15 minutes. There are managers that are performing better than us that show less of your perceived passion than Coyle. Arsene Wenger comes to mind.
To you and I as fans for example. Both as passionate about the club as each other, but both show it in different ways. By all accounts, and please correct me if I am wrong, you are a singer, a shouter and a more vocal supporter, I am perfectly opposite. But we both know football, we both want te club to succeed an we are both supporting the club as much as we can do.
I think that's the same for Coyle, he is probably more like me than you.
👍
I am sure Owen Coyle is just as passionate about Bolton as the other clubs he has been at.
All 14 of them.
Well, perhaps a little more with Bolton actually as we pay him a million pounds a year
Rowbot... I am finding it pretty hard to disagree with that last post if im honest...
...coyles attitude DOES still get to me though, i cant help it.
Trigger, how wrong you are. Not for one moment did I label you with being a fan of another club. You wear your heart on your sleeve and you are a pesimist but that apart, I do believe you are 100% Bolton Wanderers.
Trig HH has the attitude not that I think swie does of if you dont like coyle your. Ot a real bwfcfan
