E) Tottenham Hotspur: 13 point gap. NL power shift and all that. Harry Redknapp linked to England job. And now a collapse.

In order of biggest bottle job:
City (with the quality at their disposal, league should've been theirs)
Spurs (from title challeneger, to maybe Europa League ones)
Man u( too easy, the group, but they've got the PL, so not as ”bad&rdquo
Chelsea (with so much exp, they've failed, unless they win CL)
Arsenal (the 8-2 was just too bad, no one expected us to be in CL places, so...)
Liverpool (no one witha brain expected them to be anywhere near top4)
E definitely
City were never that far ahead and to be fair could reach 89 points - which would be a record to not win it. I think most people accepted the Manchester clubs would be 1st and 2nd so you couldn't really say Chelsea bottled it, most people expected us to drop of a bit albeit not by this much.
Liverpool didn't really bottle it because most people outside the Liverpool-loving press accepted the players they signed were Championship standard bar Enrique and Suarez. Henderson and Adam wouldn't look out of place at Coventry City.
To be 13 points ahead of Arsenal and 10 ahead of Chelsea and potentially finish behind not one but both despite fans giving it large all year would be the biggest embarrassment and bottle job in PL history IMO.
Not since Wolves threw away an 11 point lead to arch rivals WBA to lose out on playoffs has such a bottle job happened
Arsenal didn't bottle anything . 'Bottling it' is when you are in a strong postition and then let it slip. What Arsenal have done this season is exactly the opposite. We started really badly and have improved (so far).
Agree with Ghodfather - City
A = still working to Wengers plans, young players still trying to make their mark
B = just a bad season in Europe weirdly
C = no one really took them seriously apart from their own fans after the signings they made
D = should be winning the prem quite easily (on paper though)
E = disappointing change of circumstances but still not a bad performance given the wage structure and smaller stadium than all the rest
F = internal power struggle blah blah, sugar daddy owner making rash managerial decsions. To be expected
It has to be D.
Any other decent manager would have won the league.

The Arsenal of 2010/11, on the other hand, now THAT was bottling it.
B) they also bottled Europa with the Athletico Bilbao match, but between D and E for me.

that was just embarrasing.
Worst end of the season ever

For me it has to be D. Sure Tottenham had a bigger gap and gave it large, but we would have done the same in that position. Plus they haven't any real experience in holding on to that position.
City don't have the experience, but they sure as hell had enough money and a supposed top manager to finish the job off. They can now finish this season without a trophy and only 1 place above Arsenal. That is shocking.

It is very ironic that our defense has been good and we have scored goals. We just needed/need that extra spark in the midfield and with someone like Nasri, we could have actually challenge for the title this year!

Don't share that sentiment mate. The problem for me is Wenger and does he have what it takes to win titles anymore.
In more then several occasions this season, Wenger has looked jaded, stubborn and clueless. When the team needed a change and shake about, Wenger would often set out mind-boggling subs or tactics.
Personally, i don't think Wenger will win another game against United unless they play poor or we win by luck, because Fergie has his number. It's much easier to set out a team when you know what the opposition is going to do.
Next season, Title challenge and hopefully a trophy.
