Isnt it funny United fans

I remember a fist fight in a london bar as a united fan and a gooner argued who was better between Henry and van Nistelroy.

------------------------------------------

That's a bit sad to be honest.

How can you tell me Scholes wasn't special? To this day he's bossing the midfield area, he's one of the best in the PL era.

i know. to think henry could ever be considered as good as ruud

Most dont have him in their team. For me Scholes is nowhere near viera and Keane.

----------------------------------------

It's shocking how little you consider Scholes. Clearly you don't watch him play his game very much.
Scholes is a technically superior footballer to both Keane and Vieira. What people loved about them was their rivalry, their battles, that's probably a lot of the reason why they are rated as highly today. They were both battlers, great leaders of great teams. But Scholes was and is a better football player than both.

Tbh united players are at a disadvantage because there have been so many great players. Wheras teams like arsenal can count their best players on 1 hand.

What a ridiculous comment

The central midfield is too hard to pick.
All of Vieira, Keane, Scholes and Fabregas deserve to be in it.

Vieira and Keane were two enforcers that every championship winning team needs while Scholes and Fabregas controlled matches and provided some of the best passing of this generation.

Cesc's assist stats beggar belief. I think he is in the top 3 of all time despite only playing for 5/6 seasons and being so young.

However what I found shocking is how little united fans consider Keane.

-----------------------------------------------

Who are these United fans who overlook Keane? There's not a United fan I know who would do such a thing and I'll have to agree with the other responses you've received regarding Scholes.

Scholes nowhere near Vieira and Keane?

Are you mad?

Henry was a great player but can you say he is any better than a lampard giggs or scholes who have been consistently excellent premier league players year in year out. For two years Henry was untouchable but my favourite arsenal premier league player was actually bergkamp.

Isnt it funny United fans acknowledge how great Henry was.

....................

I think it is common practice among fans to recognise the talents of other teams players.

You would have to be an utter moron to dispute how great Henry was.

Not sure what you find funny in it, I saw no rib tickleing humour in your post at all.

I did, however spot stupidity:

For me Scholes is nowhere near viera and Keane

Scholes is my all time best PL mid.

You could choose any from Scholes, Keane, Vieira, Gerrard, Lampard, Fabregas.

Henry was a genius, there's no denying that.

My guess is that most people, when doing their all time premier league 11, are actually picking a balanced midfield, eg Keane and Scholes or Vieira and Fabregas...

Therefore, you are not seeing many choices of Keane and Vieira.

I put Vieira almost purely down to the fact that my team was almost completly UTD... and Vieira / Keane were two players that I thought were about equal.

Keane would probably be scared to be in the same room as Vieira now

Lets put it like this, if we were picking in the school-yard and it was between Keane and Viera irregardless of balance of midfield or anyone in your team I would pick Keane every time.

As for saying Scholes (my favourite player of all time) is not at the level of either Keane or Viera then you are wrong, simple as that.

A very good question Macca. Patrick always came across as a bit of a pansy for a big lad.

Keano was a bloody good amateur junior boxer and had 40 fights, winning them all with all but one being a knockout. He even beat the World Champion at the time.

Pretty sure he wouldn't be that scared of Vieira

You could see the fear in his eyes. And it showed during the game.
