If we do get Hiddink i have a feeling we might see quite a different line up. Think he might try David Luiz as a defensive midfielder who can push forward if Alex is fit again.

Was just watching Alex's end of season interview with Chelsea and he said if he was to play right now he would need 2-3 days to rest after it which isn't good.

Could be a case being where we can only use him once every 2-3 games.

Am I the only one who isnt keen on Luiz in the DM position? he was poor there the one time I saw him for Benfica. If you watch how he plays he drives forward with the play in front of him where as a DM takes the ball in to feet and bring others in or turns on it.

I actually feel he would get forward more from CB. He certainly isnt a natural DM and retraining him to play there could take away from his game at CB long term. I;d much rather we just concentrated on cutting out his mistakes then he could be one of the worlds greatest defenders

KDL - I don't want him to play at DM either and have always said that CB is his best position. I seen him play for RB and LB at Benfica, he did ok in both but has always been solid at CB. I wouldn't be against him being tried in that position though to see how he would do there, and if he thinks he can do ok there then why not i suppose.

Gazza - Different injury though. Alex has had double knee surgery and one of which got infected. Knee injuries are often a lot worse than ankle injuries because the niggling little injuries always tend to come back.

Even Cole said he was still playing a huge majority of the season while he was injured, and he was still manageing 90 minutes, which Alex can't atm.

Reading quite a few reports that it could cost as much as 14M to get Hiddink.

Probably Hiddinks wages.

He's reported to be going get up to 6M a year in wages, so it's probably compensation and wages.
