Yeah I'd like to think we wouldnt do that Gazza but we do have history of some weird decisions. If we missed out on Pastore is theer anyone else you'd like in the number 10/support striker role? not many around really.

Only other player i can think of who i would think would suit that role, and who we would go for would be Hamsik.

If we missed out on Pastore and Sneijder & Modric anyway.

Obviously there other players such as Goetze etc, but i think Hamsik is the only one who can make an impact straight away as well as long term. More of a central mid, but i think he could still do a job as an attacking mid.

I used to like Gourcuff in that position but he seems to have went off the boil. Theres also Nasri plus the likes of Jadson and Hamsik can play there.

I;d take Pastore over all of them tho, easily

I agree on Hamsik being more of a CM steve but like you said he could definately play there. a bit like Stevie Gerrard in that respect.

Messi Rossi Sanchez could be the front 3.
If that's the case, whilst I think Pedro wouldn't mind as much, I can't see Villa being happy on the bench.
If we could get Affelay for say 10M it would be worth a go.

We should have made a move for him while he was t te end of his contract. But maybe if both a new winger/forward and Fabregas comes in for Barce then he would be worth a punt.

What about Ganso and Lucas from tge Brazilian League, don't they play just behind the striker? Just wondering as we've been linked with both and we seem to be getting lots of young Brazilians. Steve how much do you think both Ganso and Lucas are?

Ganso has been injured for much of the last 2 years but from what Ive seen is an excellent talent. Lucas is much more of a wide attacker, great trickery but loves a dive. can;t say i know enough to judge them as targets.

Ganso is valued at the same as Neymar just about. Last price i seen him quoted at was about 25M.

Lucas not so sure as he's still rated roughly the same as Piazon in terms of recognition etc, so we could probably get him for about 8-10M like Piazon.

Lucas is rated much much much higher that Piazon in terms of recognition steve. already a full Brazil international and first team regular.

People don't see Lucas (yet) as big as what Neymar and Ganso are. Even though Lucas has probably (in my opinion) gone ahead of Ganso.

steve, Piazon hasnt even played first team for his club. I have high hopes for him but Lucas, where as he may not be mentioned in the same bracket as Neymar is certainly miles ahead of Piazon in terms of recognition and first team action. Piazon hasnt even played for the U21s as far as I;m aware where as Lucas is a full international who plays week in week out for his club

KDL - What i mean is, as far as young talents in Brazil, Neymar & Ganso are the first names that everyone says, then they go to Piazon & Lucas, despite Lucas being further ahead.

I'm not saying that Piazon is better than Lucas, but i mean in terms of recognition as far as a lot of people see, there still on the same level.

Piazon has become pretty much a world wide name in terms of "young talents" simply because he's joining Chelsea.
