TCW we have been dealt plenty of large hits when Mata has been in the team in the PL. It was only against Spurs where you can really say Mata clearly benefited the team.

Also regarding that surely it's unfair to judge a previous team/athlete based off of some new and better improvement? For example if in the future if the best way of playing football is purely through counter attacking then would it mean Barcelona were in fact a 'bad' side?

That's no way to judge a player JNR, and you know that. And yes, Mata has been much less than the player we know and (most of us) love. But the quality is there, just the other day he scored a lovely little strike to remind us that, yes, he is still Juan Mata. He has given us two years of great statistics, and won two POTYs in a row. This season is only a handful of games long.

TCW I wasn't judging Mata as a player. I was judging us as a team whilst Mata is playing (and you know that is a perfectly good way to do that).

I want Mata to start for us. There is a part of me that still thinks our best team is with all three of Hazard, Mata and Oscar playing. But Oscar shouldn't be dropped/played out of position just because Mata was good last season under a different manager and playing in a different system. And so far Mata hasn't done enough to warrant a place in our PL team.

Mine were 2 defenders and a keeper Sheriff, pretty good thought i'd only get 1 or 2 for each considering they conceded

1L I really don't think that's a problem. To say Oscar isn't creative just isn't true. There is more to being creative than just playing floated balls over the top of a defence. Lack of creativity hasn't been an issue this season when Oscar has started in the no.10 role.

If anything Mata hasn't been particularly creative whenever he has played.
