Makes no sense to have third-choice goalkeeper take one non-homegrown spot.

You don't need to register 3rd choice keepers.
We would be allowed to draft them into the set up on the emergency ruling if Kepa and Caballero are injured at the same time.
Although that said Green wasn't even third choice.
He never made the bench and it was always either Bulka or Cumming as the reserve when Kepa was not in the squad or in the case of yesterday we had two on the bench.
Think he was just brought in as a 3rd keeper to travel with the squad to away games while the young one's played in the development teams.

Not sure anyone can say with certainty that Mount is a better player than Barkley right now.

What I feel I can say with relative certainty, is that Mount has much, much more potential than Barkley, who I think is playing to his peak as it is already!!
Yeah. I'd prefer Barkley to be moved on. Don't even like him as an option off the bench.
