"Hakim Ziyech exchanges Ajax for Chelsea
Hakim Ziyech is working on his final months as a player of Ajax. The 26-year-old technician will soon sign a contract with the English Chelsea.
Ziyech has been on the radar of the London club for quite some time now. Chelsea reported to Ajax in January with a bid for a winter transfer, but the Amsterdam club management did not want to let any base players leave in the meantime. Chelsea did not give up, however, and tried again early this week.
This resulted in a deal between both clubs, whereby Ajax will receive over 40 million euros, possibly even more with bonuses. The expectation is that Ziyech will sign in the near future.
The Moroccan playmaker, who is currently rehabilitating from a calf injury, has long been coveted by top foreign clubs. In the recent past he was close to a transition to AS Roma, while last summer Seville wanted to get him. Ziyech, however, was very picky and only wanted to leave Ajax if the overall picture was right. That is now the case with Chelsea."
I like the idea of signing Ziyech very much so. At a good stage in his career, objective quality, not too expensive, versatile (can/has played winger, AM , CM in 4-3-3). He would be signed with the caveat that Mount would probably be the player most affacted

I'd sell Jorginho if we can get our money back for him.
Mount - 1st team squad
RLC - depends what level he can play at after his injury
Barkley - squad player or sell if we get a large bid
Gallagher - loan or squad player if we sell Barkley
Anjorin - not sure, probably a loan
Gilmour - I'd keep him in the 1st team squad, think he's shown enough in the few appearances he's had.

I like Ziyech a lot as a player and I think bringing in a left footer would give us a bit more variety in attack.
At around €45M euros I think it'd be a good deal but he wasn't one of my top choices for summer signings and also probably makes it less likely we get Onana from Ajax.

Wonder what his stats are
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yank with a spoon
Very happy with the Ziyech deal if it goes through - great price too.
Pulisic, CHO, Ziyech as our wingers (if Pedro and Willian leave). Will likely need one more...
Sancho is an obvious choice but four starting quality wingers may be overkill (even City struggle to keep everyone happy with a similar number)
Perhaps the next buy for our forward line should be someone who can play as a striker and winger? Someone like Werner - so we'd have Tammy backup as well as some cover on the wing.

Supposedly Liverpool want Werner and I really doubt he picks us over them.
Sancho a boyhood Chelsea fan, probably have a better chance even though he would cost more.
Can I just say, As a pretty vocal defender of jorgino, he has been pretty awful the last few months

firmino
origi
salah
mane
shaqiri
werner
hmmm not outlandish i guess
oh and that new guy they signed, minamino...7 for 3 positions?
I think Shaqiri is expected to leave in the summer.
And pool have played a lot of the 4-2-3-1 recently which would give them 4 positions to select from.
