Really? I like him at DM but I could definitely see him playing higher overtime, provided he hit the gym ASAP.

Rice is not totally without technical skill but I have never seen him dictate the tempo of a game and dominate a midfield. And yes, I have seen a fair bit of him. He was woeful for an extensive 12-18 month period and his mini resurgence at home to tbe mighty Watford is not really changing my mind.

Rice dominated the midfield against Utd just the other week. West Ham should have got more from the game and rice was exceptional. Can’t say I’ve seen him impress me too much otherwise however

A lot will depend on what happens with Kepa. If he attracts no interest and/or says "I have 5 years left on my contract worth £35-40m, I'm not giving that money up" then I suspect we'll need to be creative with our keeper target.

I can;t really see him attracting any interest in England where his reputation is shot...surely his future is back in mainland Europe

Get Ampadu a PL loan where he plays regularly and he will become a better version of Rice IMO.
