I'm actually loving the fact that Frank isn't afraid to say he thinks Kepa is potentially done with us...shows a steely determination and that he's his own man

Yup our luck was out. In the second half and what I've seen of extra time we dominated. Drogs hit the post and then Lamps hit the bar. It never should have gone to pens. Incredible we didn't win it.

And yet in 2012 we had absolutely no right winning that CL. Both Barca and Bayern were clearly better than us and yet somehow we pulled it off.

I know this has all been covered before but just saying.

Ditto...asked this the other day

Wonder what the thinking at the club was with Bulka. He looked really impressive in the preseason games I saw him in. The club must have seen that. If Bulka had stayed as our number 2 he could have displaced Kepa this season.

Bulka had one year left on his deal, refused to sign a new one.

Only way we could have kept him would have been not sign a new keeper.

That might sound reasonable now, but at the time, the idea of going into a season with Caballero and a 19 year old keeper was seen as very risky indeed.

I assumed Sarri was gunna prioritize Pedro as he mirrored Callejon more, and was kind of right, but he's been really good this season. Going in with CHO & Pedro as RW options would've been hard for Lampard.

I don't have a major problem that we kept Willian but I'm not sure where he fits in next season. Barca would be an exciting and fresh challenge for him as well if they're still interested.

Well yeah it's shame because he's wasted his development years at PSG as backup keeper. He looked really impressive when I watched him, thought he was going to go on and become a top keeper. Not stuck on the bench though in Paris he won't.

I think there is a good keeper in there, this move just didn't work out, and it may be that the Premier League isn't right for him.

At Carrow Road I was sat in the second row almost directly behind Kepa. Fortunately the Chelsea players were warming up at my end of the pitch just before kick off and quite honestly Kepa looked liked a bean pole to me. I was surprised, I'd fancy my chances against him in goal.
