I remember the whole of my office also stopping work to watch Murray win Wimbledon

Pretty big deal when I think about it. Before Southgate, had never seen England get past the quarters of a tournament. I know they’ve mainly beat easy teams but am used to them struggling in those games.

Back to back semi’s is very consistent and a good achievement

Agree we’ve not beaten huge teams but both tournaments have had a big moment (World Cup us actually winning a penalty shootout and this one us beating the Germans)

And to be fair even in the history of WC’s / Euro’s it’s rare any team beats more then 2 top teams in their run

Mount was meh but I put that down to accumulation of games. Hopefully he gets a second wind for Denmark.
