It’s getting ridiculous. Similar circumstances have been the downfall of other managers. Repeatedly playing players who even if they have a few good games, will inevitably underperform and let them down.

I don’t think alonso has even been that good. Seems how good he is in the box is back to skewing the general public’s eye again.

I think he’s had much better runs of form for us. He’s hardly been tested defensively this year until the weekend and was pulled pillar to post. Has had free reign to join our attack and is still good at what he’s good at. Will always have the same deficiencies.

Which is weird given his strengths are technique and being experienced. City just ran at him and he tried to fk up playing it out everytime

I won't argue about his defensive weaknesses, but can be a good attacking outlet.

No more so than anyone else if they found themselves in the box as much as he does. Na maybe that’s harsh he is great in the box, but that is usually negated by the amount of times we have a break opportunity and it ends up at our cbs because he had to cut back because he’s the slowest player in the league.
