Werner should be our #1 wingman
He’s the best winger we have
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Seconded. A different team with him on the field. He terrorises the opposition.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was just thinking how missed he is. He's really important for us despite being gash in front of goal. We weren't winning the CL last season without him.
Bye guys it's been fun. Never coming back.

That 2020 summer transfer window is looking a bit 2017-ish now...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mendy and Silva great
Chilwell good
Werner and Havertz very hit and miss
Ziyech crap
We won the CL so no regrets, but obviously football is more than just one competition.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True - that CL win makes up for a lot. Though it's annoying to think that we spent £150m+ on our attack in that summer and none of the signings have genuinely worked out.
How can Ross Barkley be brought on before Timo btw? Werner and Chilwell living in the bin recently lol
I am not too upset about tonight - we were poor but our style of play and set-up means our games are often defined by thin margins. This means we can lose narrowly against elite teams from time.
Not sure there is any need to catastrophise - Villa slapped United up, who also lost to Young Boys.
We lost to City and Juventus.
Our attack is patchy - Mount is going through a rough spell, Pulisic remains prone to injuries, and Ziyech continues to frustrate. I thought Havertz started the season very well but he has been poor since the international break, I think it is likely an age thing more than him being a flake. It is up to him to prove that.
Lukaku is interesting, long-term he is what we need but our pressing game currently seems disjointed and our passing around in the middle third doesn't suit his strengths at all.
Anyway, I have to go get some eggs. Thought I'd cheer people up.
Needed to leave and regain my self-worth. New job, more money. Life is good

We will soon beat that out of him
Wouldn't be surprised to see Ziyech leave in the summer. In his prime years but really not clicking for us.
This is an issue which has plagued us for years.
In fact that WB to CB to WB passing was incredibly reminiscent of our football under Frank.
In fairness, if there's a coach out there you would trust to fix it Tuchel is surely top of the list.

Thanks.
Lol, I just think Chelsea can lose narrowly to teams like Juve and City. It's more that I never looked at our squad and thought we were an impervious titan.
Havertz is almost a microcosm of our team, he was terrific in some games start of the season but now his head is down and he looks like he did under Lampard. Just needs a bit of geeing up. Same with many of the others.
Southampton win would do that.
NoPEnis is back
Knew it would be after a loss
Decent run of games coming up now so despite another fecking international break coming soon we should be building up some momentum and getting the team chemistry right

We're slower than Tuchel teams typically are. It's a bit to lethargic & risk phobic. It's totally "anti-football" Chelsea pretending to be a possession team
Havertz has imo never had a fantastic game for us. Especially not this year. Even when he scores (Liverpool) the rest of the game he was awful. As was pointed out on here at the time. He could have slotted lukaku in three times that game alone.
But the guy when not scoring offers nothing, doesn’t assist, can’t header (I know Liverpool goal), can’t dribble, can barely run, can’t pass, isn’t strong, can’t tackle, doesn’t work hard.
I never saw him in Germany but Jesus what a flop

Feeling the loss of his telepathic connection to Abraham mate
Arsenal away I thought Havertz was arguably our best player after Lukaku. Also thought he was very good vs Villareal and Liverpool.
Not sure we can call him a flop when he is one of two players in our history to score in a CL final.
But it's up to him to prove that. Not going to die in a ditch over Havertz.

Wanted to check on if you lot were panicking and so it proved. Lol.
In all seriousness I left so I would stop wallowing on social media and actually try and improve things. Now I have partially achieved that I intend to return to my wallowing and lurking, picking fights with anyone who slights me
Stacking the ball round a keeper into an empty net hasn’t swayed my opinion. Even if it was really bloody important lol. Luck, timing and moments play a massive part in football. But in terms of his day to day performances for us he’s been a flop in every sense of the word. Against arsenal I don’t remember him doing anything.
He’s only got a 7 rating once on who scored this year and that was his goal against Liverpool bumping it up
Oh well back to the drawing board. We were missing 5 players from my preferred starting line up so there is that. But why people keep banging on about our strength in depth is beyond me
Knew we'd struggle v Juventus and their style of play. So the result doesn't surprise me.
I'm very concerned about the performances though, they've been terrible recently other than the 2nd half v Spurs.
We look very slow and lacking creativity in these games. 1 shot on target in the last 2 games.
Got an easier run in the league, seriously need to make it count
