Fingers crossed Auba can be done this week
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I find this a very odd move
-----------------------------------------------------
It's not that odd, Tuchel's worked with him before.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know...It's just that he was awful a year ago
-----------------------------------------------------
Managers always think they can get something out of their boys others can't, and considering how painfully bad our attack has been for him I don't blame Tuchel for wanting a familiar face in there.
I'm fine with it. I'd be very fine with it if it was free, but we're paying 60mil for Brighton LB's atm so money's not worth thinking about
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cucurella makes a lot more sense than a washed forward
How much would Auba cost ?
No idea.
Personally, I am not fond of letting Barca out of the rut they have made without really wanting the player.
If we can get him very cheap, not silly wages and on a short contract then he's worth the punt I guess.
A season long loan, don't want him permanently...
Don't really want him at all but there's not much out there
I'd rather keep what we have than buy more junk or punts.
Basically, my view is when we get a DoF he can make plans for revamping our attack.
Until then - TT can cut out the worst offenders with loans away but otherwise should work with what we have.
I also think that if TT can’t get more out of the attackers we already have in the squad, he has to accept some blame.
Ziyech, Werner and Havertz were all very highly rated before we signed them.
Pulisic looked great at times under Lampard.
CHO was one of the best young attacking prospects in Europe who Bayern were very keen on.
Broja is also a talented young striker who should be able to improve into a good PL player.
I think Werner just isn't cut out for PL, and that Ziyech doesn't work for this system.
But - Pulisic, CHO and to a lesser extent Havertz should all be doing better under TT than they are.
The Spurs r doin oposite of winnin
Sterling, Havertz and Mount should all get double figures in the league. Around 10-15 goals.
Pulisic is also capable of scoring a fair share, did play out of position a lot last season especially to cover at wb.
Our wingbacks - RJ and Chilwell were our top scorers at one stage, so I expect them to get a few goals.
Then others need to chip in - Broja, CHO, Gallagher, Jorginho penalties, Silva and Koulibaly from set pieces.
Probably still around 15-20 goals short in the team though
