Why would they rate him in the same bracket? People have been talking Rice up for years. This summer is the first summer I've seen where Caicedo has even made it into the gossip column.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah Rice has been hyped up for 3 years now. He was always going to cost around £100m. Whilst Caicedo has only broken through this season.
But they probably see the crazy fees we paid for Enzo and Mudryk who both had a good 6 months before signing for us for record fees.
Oh and they rinsed us for Cucurella so they’ll be looking to do it again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Enzo worth every penny. And are you talking about the £62 million we paid for Mudryk or the pretend £89 million that the media like to keep falsely repeating?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Enzo looks agood player, but there is no evidence for me on the basis of just one season to determine whether he is worth every penny.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's been here six months and has been one of our very best players if not our best player in that time. Taken to the PL like a duck to water as well. So there's certainly more than no evidence in my opinion. I think he looks absolutely class and he's a much more rounded midfielder than Declan Rice who cost even more in this ridiculously overinflated market.
Is there an element of gamble given his age ? Of course there is but all the signs look extremely promising and if he stays injury free there's no reason he can't be a super important Chelsea player for the next decade or more.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly 6 months. You cannot determine the value of player over just a six month period. If we did then there would be a load of Chelsea flops that we could re brand as worth every penny.

I'm merely giving my opinion that I absolutely love the player from what I've seen of him at last year's World Cup where he won young player of the tournament to his excellent displays for us in 2023. And my prediction is that we'll look back on his time here as being well worth the money we paid for him. Assuming he stays injury free of course.
He wasn't even played in his proper position last season and still he excelled in a brand new league and in a crap team. I'd say he can improve even more with a proper DM behind him giving him actual freedom to get forward and get more involved in attacks

Moises Caicedo’s camp are pushing for a speedy resolution to negotiations following #Chelsea’s latest rejected bid. There will be face to face talks in America. Caicedo’s agent is prepared to also attend if needed.

Chelsea are now considering Monaco’s Axel Disasi as a potential transfer target.
Apparently, the 25-year-old Frenchman is on a shortlist of centre-backs that the Blues are currently looking at.
L’Equipe previously reported that Monaco could demand £44million to sell Disasi, with Manchester United an interested buyer this summer.
RMC Sport claimed last month that Chelsea could be tempted into making a move for Disasi. It’s all gone a bit quiet since, though
