I really like Jackson
Unlike some of our previous signings up top he's constantly involved in the game, his ability on the ball always causes problems
Really like him as a player
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a shame that Nkunku couldn't stay fit because him and Jackson in preseason looked electric together. Regardless though Jackson has done well in his first season, he's still very young despite looking about 45 and will improve even more. Looking forward to seeing him develop in a Chelsea shirt.

De Zerbi is inevitable
Ian Maatsen wants to leave Chelsea on a permanent deal in summer. Chelsea is already informed about his plan. He feels very comfortable in Dortmund and is keen to stay with his release clause set at €35-40m. (via @berger_pj / @SkySportDE)

Chelsea are monitoring 19 year old Russia International Sergey Pinyaev.
The winger who currently plays for Lokomotiv Moscow has caught the attention of the likes of Barcelona and Liverpool this season after a string of fine performances.
Thought to be available for around £26 million, Chelsea are keen to bring him in.
The conflict in Ukraine may prove to be a stumbling block however for all clubs involved.

Chelsea and Manchester United are monitoring Harry Kane'a situation at Bayern Munich. It is thought that he would like a return to England after failing to win the Bundesliga title despite his goal tally.

Yeah it's weird how De Zerbi gets such a pass and linked to the top jobs when he hasn't actually been particularly good this season. He certainly wouldn't get a pass at Chelsea with a win record like that lol. Wouldn't last a season as Chelsea manager.

People don't like that being pointed out on here.
De Zerbles has had even more injuries than us, if ours are a mitigating factor in our season then his are too.
🚨 One plan is actually for Hansi Flick to coach Bayern next season in order to then appoint the current Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp as the new coach after his sabbatical. [@inside_ffm]

Staying at Roma
The dream is dead
Yeah he’s a Roma legend lol that’s his dream managerial role
De Zerbi would be our Ange appointment. He'd probably surprise a lot of people, but we'd be all about the style to cover up a lack of substance.
Not for me personally. I understand why those managers are appealing to a lot of people, and I usually warm to them myself if I'm being honest (e.g. I liked Sarri), but I enjoy the tactical duelling aspect of football management too much & I can't see past blatant stupidity for the sake of upholding "principles".
Also those managers simply don't survive here, our fans aren't built for that particular grind. It's a waste of everyone's time entertaining it.
Everton have taken the decision to let Senegalese midfielder Amadou Onana leave this summer but will demand a fee of atleast €70million. Chelsea are leading Barcelona in the race for his signature and are willing to pay his price tag. (via @SPORT)
So with Maatsen off in the summer, what happens at LB?
- Chilwell is a crock who's effectively been out of form for 2/3 years
- Cucurella is limited offensively and suspect in defence
- Colwill is a CB
We need at least 1 signing this summer in that position. And no doubt they'll be more expensive than what we sell Maatsen for (with no guarantee they'll actually be better).
All seems back to front imo.
Yeah the money for these youth players seems fine at first
But then we spend bigger amounts on players from outside who aren’t better. It’s completely the wrong way round.

It’s the same with goalkeepers and strikers - we can’t buy decent ones until Kepa and Lukaku die of old age.
It’s worth with GK because we spent £25m on a Brighton reject who’s no better than Kepa. Could have just kept him despite his faults.
