If all of Caicedo, DH and Lavia stay fit then does it mean Enzo loses his place in the side ? Or is he just guaranteed a place no matter what because we paid 100 million for him ?

I'd be surprised if we didn't sell him in the next 12 months.

i dont think we sell enzo, hes a top player hell be fine

im more happy is we seem to have very viable players per position x2 quality players per position is what every top team has.

ive been def up with having a starting 11 and then a load of back ups

Mudryk is the one i think might go as sterling could be retained due to his quality and experience

mudryk on loan and another winger coming in would be my guess

much better some really nice stuff played,
its still only pre season but we looked good going forward and better in defence

we should have had at least another 3, KDH should have had a hatrick and guiu maybe should have scored another

Lavia and nkunku look really good as did james and gusto in different positions

I got it but it took 5 instead of 3 because I guessed every other possible variant

I hope we attempt to fill that Silva-shaped gap we have in our defence. None of our current crop fill me with confidence, don't think America attacked so well last night and think we will be very exposed over the weekend. Other than that though we do look ok, and there seems to be something forming. Been impressed with Guiu, and DH seemed right at home

We've sacked a manager who was doing alright + are about to sell one of our best players primarily for this guy's benefit.

Considering we've made controversial decisions this summer designed to build a team around him, I'd say he's pretty much a guaranteed starter when fit yes.

The decision to sack Poch came down to Enzo vs. Gallagher. There's no other reason why this ownership especially would've done that - Poch had so many stats in his favour that suggests a better 2nd season & they pay attention to that sh!t.

This is kind of like the Sarri year & we've prioritized Jorginho (and the style he favours) by deciding to sell Kante.

I imagine part of it is that he didnt want gallagher sold but poch was pretty awful for the majority of last season

to also call gallagher one our best players is frightening really, there is a big difference between best performer and best player

the manager this year wants to play a possesion based game with smart quick balls breaking the press in the middle of the part

You put gallagher in their he becomes our worst player because he simple does not have the attributes

The reason why he did well with poch is becuase of his ability to run and press. these are good attributes but when Caicedo and lavia can do the same but are also able to control a football and beat a man gallagher becomes redundant,

KDH coming in as well is far better as a bx to box midfielder

I get the sentiment over Gallagher, but im more annoyed about chalobah being left out as hes genuinley a good fit for this team and style

also you cant blame the clubs owners for wanting to cash in on pure profit
if you want to blame anyone blame the nonsense profit and sustainability rules

Agree pretty much with everything but the Chalobah bit. While I like the guy I don’t think he’s very good with the ball at his feet at all. Easily pressured into panicking. But then either is Bads.

Anyways, Madueke has a shlt attitude and comes off like a petulant child. I am okay with him riding the bench until he learns to grow up or we sell him.

I agree with a lot of that & it doesn't discredit what I said

On the one of our best players thing it depends what you're looking at in a footballer. Technically yeah he's lacking especially for a #10 (which is how Poch played him mostly), but nobody in this team can organize a press anyway near as good as he can (the main reason why Poch pushed him into the #10).

Enzo is also one of our best players btw, but what I'm questioning about making the call to favour him was Pochettino was already in place & doing well (we'll agree to disagree on that point). Makes this direction the riskier one at a time when we can't afford too many more things to go wrong.

Agree via Dewsbury Hall as well. Going back to the Sarri comparison, that's like selling Kante but we've replaced him with Allan. Not as good of a pure, high energy B2B midfielder but a more technically capable one

If we find a way to play Enzo deep in midfield where he can dictate play and start attacks. I don't want to see him in advanced positions in midfield and definitely not as a 10 like he was at times last season for reasons only known to Poch.
