Everton submit deal sheet to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea. #EFC agree loan + £30m buy option.
Well done. Happy to have lost
As I've said earlier for me our season is now going to hinge on whether Nkunku can stay fit. Personally I think he's very capable of being our first choice number 9 and scoring goals in this team and system. No disrespect to Jackson who can still play a significant role either as a striker or out wide.

Well I'm stunned. Looks like we had an evaluation of a player & stuck to it! More impressive considering it was a player who filled a squad space we actually needed unlikely most of our signings this summer.
Don't care that this leaves us light upfront, that was a bold but necessary long term decision. We can't keep giving in to clubs, players & agents like we've done too often recently.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True but it should've happened months ago not on the last day, now due to us being dumb AGAIN we are players short from competing. Didnt need to be WC players. Just solid players would have helped massively. Instead we fooked about with a marquee signing to the last minute. Glad we didn't other pay, but again we messed up massively. Let's hope we can get a couple of decent loans in to bolster the squad.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Where striker goes I would've bagged Taremi or Ben Yadder (he's still unattached) early this summer.
I don't think we need world class there, not yet anyway, Jackson feels like he could patio into a top striker at any moment. Just need another Giroud, i.e. reliable old head.
So Sterling took a wage cut and we're still paying half of his wages. I hope something similar was done with Sancho. Or are we paying him 300k a week?

3 goals in like 25 games for Dortmund last season isn’t much to write home about
Sterling loan to Arsenal done ✅
Chalobah loan to Palace done ✅
Broja loan to Everton done ✅
Apparently we’re still paying half of Sterling’s wages
And Sancho no doubt covers most of that remaining 50% anyway, so we haven’t saved on wages from temporarily offloading Sterling. Plus we’re spending £20m transfer fee for Sancho and getting no fee for Sterling.
Sterling also happens to be a better player than Sancho.
What is the point of any of this. And how is it at all financially viable.
The good thing about Chalobah only being a loan is the possibility of him returning next season after getting rid of the inferior CBs that we’ve signed
If we’re still paying half of Sterling’s wages it’s a ridiculous deal. We’re paying for him to play for Arsenal. If he wanted to play he should have agreed to reduce his wages at Arsenal. If he just wants a high salary he can play with the bomb squad.
We won 6-2 last weekend and I’m already angry again before our next league match has already started. One stupid decision after another.
I should clarify that the likes of Sterling, Chalobah and Gallagher are not world beaters. They shouldn’t be starting for top teams. Sterling in particular was a disgrace during several games last season.
But we’re so far off the top that they’re still better than these more expensive players who are replacing them in the squad. I thought you’re supposed to try and improve on what you already have. And stick to what you’ve got if you can’t significantly upgrade. These guys in charge seem to like trading players out of boredom.
I think Sterling lowered his wages to £200k. We’re paying £100k and Arsenal are doing the same.
This is probably a record of some sort with the amount of players we’ve loaned to PL clubs.

I wonder what is going to happen to him now, surely Napoli can't afford to keep him on the same wages and if he ends up staying till January then they are going to be in serious financial trouble.

I suppose he is at Arsenal for over mainly. Still reduces the wage bill, but agree not great.
Chelsea will have to buy Jadon Sancho as long as they finish in the top 14 in the Premier League table. (@TelegraphDucker)

Is see we've had the wisdom of oscar over Sancho on here then...I mean to be fair he's potentially a slight up from Sterling but that ain't a lot to write home about
