I'll take that bet and raise you Wednesday lunchtime! Honestly will be shocked if he has starts in double figures and anywhere near as good as OG RJ.
Really hope I am wrong, but honestly feel we will/should be looking for a new home for him come the summer
I've already moved on from Reece James. The truth is very obvious to me. If by some miracle he actually gets to a point where he can spend most of the time injury free then I'll embrace the miracle.
But that's what it will take at this stage. He's done as a top flight footballer sadly. At least he won a CL and made a lot of money, which is a lot more than most have achieved. Fair play.
We need to move on though and bring in another RB in the squad pronto. No more of this Disasi BS at RB please. We need more than just Gusto in that position.

I want to be proved wrong with James, but yeah I agree with Superb.

Terribly frustrating for a professional sports player not to reach his/her full potential. Money ain't gonna take away that hurt.

He's only 24, bit premature to right him off. I'm still somewhat hopeful he can overcome the injuries.
Whether he'll be that same player that he was under TT, probably not I'm guessing.

He needs a move to La liga or serie A he’ll flourish
His joints ain’t strong enough for PL

He needs to stay fit for the remainder of the season. If not it's time to look elsewhere for another RB.
We finally have a fully fit squad. It looks like we're handling our players a lot better this season.

I'm guessing we'll blood him back in on Sunday when we're 3 down to Liverpool...
Then one of two things happen
Reckless challenge &
Injured & back out until June
posted 3 days, 9 hours ago
The thing is, he should either be tried as a CB and if it doesn’t work then shipped to Spain or Italy
He’s not a RB anymore, doesn’t have the legs and should stop trying. Plus Gusto is younger and better

I cant remember anyone whos had so many long term injuries at this age and gone on to have a top career.
Maybe R9 but he had a few top years before the leg break.
RJ has only started 99 league games since 2019.
5 years.
Less than 20 a season.

Add to that, hes notoriously slow at getting back to his top standards too, so about 20/30 of those hes played like hes sleep walking.
Its a huge shame but whether its body type or what, he just doesn't seem cut out physically for it.

Think he'll be like Ledley King. Still quality going into his 30's no matter how much football he misses between appearances.
Slowly shift to becoming a RCB in a back 3 or strictly inverted RB once his pace starts to go, and with these injuries could happen anytime.

Giuseppe Rossi's the guy I think about when wondering what players who suffer non-stop injuries must feel like. Cos he never gave up, without the comforting contract James currently has, but they just kept coming.
Was such a prospect, must feel like he got robbed.

As soon as if goes wrong the anti German narrative will kick iron socia and tabloid. Don't think it will work out for him at all. Plus he will throw rattle out of pram with all the player withdrawals.
