In the more recent Reece James comebacks he has not been able to hit the ground running, far from it in fact.

Crazy to start James. Not liking Gusto at LB.

Enzo dropped is nice, but James starting after a long absence seems silly.

Not sure how I feel about Gusto at LB but otherwise fine with the decisions.

The midfield is what I'd expect going forward against top teams but surprised to see it so soon.

No idea about Lavia's level of fitness but having your first match batch against Liverpool is a pretty big ask regardless

Today was always going to be tough. Best option is to think about it in a more detached way: this is a test of how Chelsea play against teams that are better than them.

I want a disciplined performance where we are competitive. Could even get something from that game if that happens. What I don't want is us being steamrollered 5-0 like versus Arsenal last season.

You just know City are going to spuunk a late goal here
