I don't understand why some of you are having meltdowns. We were never in title race, these results will happen with a team that is learning and playing lots of games against good sides. Disappointment sure but no more than that.

Why bring on Nkunku and no one else? I can't remember Nkunku impacting a game off the bench since the Bournemouth win. Complete uninspiring. Players obviously have responsibility but Maresca is fecking up his role as well

This....

First half we were ok tbf. Against what is a decent Fulham side for the level we’re at we did well. We should have ideally been at least 2-0 up, good openings made, especially the Cucurella chance.

Second half we lost our way a bit.

Yeah we didn't have anything on the bench tbh, Felix and Nkunku. Rest were kids or GKs

If we finish averaging 2pts a game this season it's a success big time.

I'm not bothered about the title race - I care about how we played and what the manager does to impact the game. If we played well, used all our tools available and still lost then fair enough. But if we just effectively give up half way through the game then I'm going to be p@ssed regardless of any "title race"

Had we got a second we'd have been fine...we didn't and Then we were going to struggle for a draw...boom

He's more a luxury player when we're cruising in the game

Palms was not managing the game

For example, it's a big IF but if we beat Palace and Ipswich and we finish with 7 out of 12 over Christmas, that's what I'd expect

People saying we are in title race and assuming our fixture list was easy and hoping for 1st by January can be full of rage

I for one, thought a slump was quite likely and this season will ebb and flow. Still pretty confident of 70 plus points and top 4. But yeah, this is why that our ceiling right now.

Perhaps Felix for Sancho but does that change the tide of the game, I don't think so.

I knew this game would be tough, Fulham have been very good against the top sides this season

He made a good save earlier but that kick from Sanchez was shocking, led to a 3v1 for them.

No one taking into account a slump
Historically we are always pretty had this time of year anyway and we have been pretty consistent up until now

I'm annoyed as anyone about the manner of the winning goal but jeez

There’s a few things to unpack

First half was fine. Could have built a stronger league.
Second half got totally outplayed and a Fulham win is fair

At half time their manager likely changed something and simply put ours couldn’t come up with a response. They were all over us and he did NOTHING to fix the issue. Really really poor. Plan A was working well but elite managers need to be able to adapt during the game, which he didn’t.

Not sure how Sancho and Neto survived the whole game.

Ref was really poor. 3 occasions he stopped us playing advantage/quick free kick and ruined 3 promising attacks.

He also should have given a second yellow to a Fulham player with around 10 mins to go for a foul on Palmer with no attempt to play the ball.

And finally, the winning goal was diabolical play from Enzo. Didn’t hit it forward initially. Waited ages. Then his pass couldn’t beat the first man, putting Sanchez in a strained position with an uncontrolled pass.

Cucurella is in no man’s land when Sanchez hits the pass and is far too slow to react and there’s a massive gap on his side which they exploit.
