i thought only city fans were bitter?...

I know I am not a United fan, but if you finish top of the league after 38 games, you deserve it. Doesn't matter what else happens.

If Only - I think it's more to it than just money. Mancini has been a decent manager thus far. Plus I think his handling of the Teves situation was largely as good as it could've been.

Yes money has played a part, but how many clubs have vast amounts of wealth but don't come up with anything. If money was the be all and end all in footbal Anzhi Makalakalakalka would be in the CL final.

City deserve there position, I think the timing of the derby is fantastic, so may the best team win

Barring a freak incident or poor refereeing desicion, the team that come out on top tomorrow will deserve it.

if they beat us twice throughout the season, then yeah we dont deserve it.....

Gratedbean - good point, if they win with a dodgy goal then I'll be beyond peed off. Although if someone gets a decision disastrously wrong tomorrow, it could be a game of a big enough profile to start the wheels of change in motion...

I will concede that they deserved it on the football pitch over the course of the season. Actually saying the words 'well done, City' after losing to them would be difficult though.

Not that I'm assuming we'll lose - I think it's quite a tight match.

the two 'mercenary' clubs win the prem and the champions league platini will choke on an olive.

I Agree with previous posters, who ever has the most points or if need be, better goal difference.. deserves to win the title of the best team in England.

I think we've played a lot nicer football than you at times this season, but we've also played a lot worse, you've been consistently getting the results and it's got you to where you are now.

I think we do deserve this second chance, and like I say, unless we're 1-0 up with minutes to spare after dominating the majority of the game, De Gea hits a long goal kick, it pings Lescott's head, takes a horrible deflection and goes in, or A Young bends over to tie his shoelaces and the ref blows for a penalty... The team that comes out on top of this game deserve it, over the course of the season it's been that tight.

FA Cup, 6-1, and Charity Shield count for nowt when they walk out onto the pitch tomorrow.

i fully intend to applaud my team off the pitch tomorrow, regardless of the result. i'm beyond proud of the players and in particular the manager who have performed miracles just to get us in this position when everything has conspired against us.

City will deserve it, but to be honest even if they win it they should be embarrassed that we have pushed them this close with our far inferior squad and near-ridiculous injury problems!

If City win the PL, then I will applaud them because they will have deserved it, regardless of the manner in which they have got to where they are

barring any dodgy penalty's/sending's off whoever wins deserves to. end off. if you win as much as it will hurt i will respect your victory and look forward to next season.

If we win it I gurantee you we won't be embarrased lad.

Are you the 'pride of all Europe' or what?

united supporters are the most gracious there is in defeat. we applauded chelsea onto the field at old trafford in 2005 after they'd won the league, and who can forget everyone in the ground giving ronaldo a standing ovation when he was substituted despite the fact he'd knocked us out of europe in 2003.

most gracious in defeat?! behave

that's the difference between us, one of them anyway. when city were losing at maine road once their supporters charged onto the pitch and started dismantling the nets in the hope of getting the game abandoned. you're all about winning where as we're just happy to be reds, whatever happens.

Of course I'll applaud them, they may be our local rivals but they're our neighbours and that must count for something. Many families that have a mixture of red or blue fans, and there's a mutual respect there.
