Let's hope we use the cash to buy good players , 2 mil will help pay KP'S wagese for a season , so go get him Clark !!!!

Lee Clarks first signing.

I suppose this move proves exactly how successful Lee Clark has been at Huddersfield Town.

Lee Clarks first signing but dont anyonrle ever give Lee Clark any credit because Pilks had been on our radar long before Lee Clark was a twinkle in Dean Hoyle's eyes.

Really is that why Roeder tried to buy him ??

"Anthony will always be a friend of the Club and I will be cheering him on to success in future."

I agree with Dean Hoyle. Good luck Pilks

The lad has a shot at the Premier League, and that is what all English players must aspire to. Fact is, Exeter, Rochdale and Stevenage or Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool? It's a no-brainer.

It's £2million plus so it's fantastic business by the club considering what he was signed for, though I do believe we the money should be used on strengthening the team as his overall contribution will be a big loss. A goal roughly every four games isn't a bad return for a wide player.

With that money in my back pocket I'd be after Danny Ings, but that's just me

Or Chris Taylor Super Novak ?

Agree supernovak on the Pilks thing, I have nothing against him. Good look to him. Not sure about Ings, reckon B'mth may want a fair bit for him. Would like someone with some power and pace but still think we have to get a quality CM. An absolute must for me

Not a bad shout Kindon. Hometown or not, he must be sick to the back teeth of Boundary Park. I only have to go once a season at it puts my back up

Yup Taylor for me too, I do believe i have read somewhere that he has a release clause in his contract if they get a bid over 500k ? The Latics are skint and he aint got far to travel, I am sure he would also appreciate the much better facilities we have.

Oh, you mean when Lee Clark was carrying the kit bag at Carrow Rd.

but he wont be able to show on the ball ability to the extend theyd need to prove hes good enough. running without a ball and running with the ball or during a game are 2 totally different things.

Id like to actually see the price..

you buy the tickets and the shirts and we will hide the financial facts from you...

ta deano..

Where does it ACTUALLY say £2 million? or is that hope or Hype from Town fans and paper talk.....undisclosed means he went for a lot less than he might have been worth otherwise Town could proudly boast they improved him from when he joined and that ain't so, he is after all unproven since his injury

posted on 6/7/11

In Deano's statement is says "Multi Million Pound deal". So I'd take that at meaning more than £1M.

We should be able to buy some seriously good players with the Pilks and Pelts cash.

undisclosed means we don't want other clubs knowing how much money we've got to spend...when we buy players for undisclosed fees...soon we'll be having football results Town v Bury score...undisclosed...!

sommereader..

we will get all the cr-p about hiding the fee because we dont want other clubs to know what we have got to spend..

in the days of agents , who will all know exactly what we got for pilkington and exctly how much his personal terms were its cr=p..

agents always update each other to make sure this bloody money making merry go round continues..and spirals upwards...

the fee is being hidden from us, unfortunately...

we did follow a team that had some pride in the shirt and the club itself, that is just about gone... when it goes for good, so do i...

cant be ars-d to just watch mercenaries moving on every year or two, soon they wont know who they are playing for..

at least it cuts down on the testimonials, town wont have anyone who will actually qualify for one...

To be honest, 38, Thats my thoughts exactly.

I'm quite fed up with the whole thing. Walking away from Old Trafford was a real low point for me. To now see players, who to be honest weren't good enough to get the job done, just leaving the club for a better deal really gets up my nose. Nobody seems to want to take the defeat and use it to steel themselves for the coming season to stick together as a team and prove themselves good enough. I know its all about the money and that is what is eventually going to kill the game.

Your manager was keen to point out; he wouldn't have left for a Championship club. You should be realistic in any bygone halcyon day, a player would most probably leave if a decent offer came in from a club 2 tiers above.
