Boris is a wum. The success has gone to his head and he's lost all credibility.
================================
So up until this point, you gave Boris credence?
Sorry Boris no offence intended.
"Tevez doing it, and then City fans backing him again"
I'm capable of backing Tevez in this incident whilst still be being furious about him going missing for over half the season. Because unlike you I'm a sophisticated and complex individual, who is capable of experiencing two conflicting emotions at the same time. It's not just me though, many of aren't hate-filled automatons.
Let me try and break it down for you simple enough for you to understand.
Tevez did bad.
Then Tevez did good.
Just because Tevez did bad before, does not mean all his doings are now bad x
The disappearance of Tevez and his subsequent return is just a re-enactment of the parable of the prodigal son.
I doubt Joe Hart has any particular grudge against Fergie.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
That's why it's not funny to me. It's malicious and sticking the knife in. Yes United have had pops during the season but it would never happen at a victory parade where we'd have a pop at our defeated rivals. It's just not dignified or classy. That's why City apologised, not because it wasn't humerous.
As for Boris, in the main he's always been ok with me.
i think in all fairness if i was carlos tevez, i'd be a tad embarrased to even be on that bus after what he did during the season.
at the end of the day he could have cost city the league with his extended "vacation".

duncanedwards - 100% agree, I said something similar on another thread where carrickature is going crazy. However I'm not gonna condemn him for what was a harmless joke. If saf had died or was seriously ill it would be different, but its clearly just a joke about "not in my lifetime", I honestly can't understand how anyone could be genuinely offended, except for the crazy ones x

First time that Fergi has got it wrong big time with transfers, he should never of let Tevez go, anyone who can score 25-35 goals a season is worth more than 25 million

Errr have you been hiding under your bed for the last 12 months. I'd say that period has made SAF think thank god we didn't re-sign him, not I got it wrong 'big time'.
The guy almost single handedly blew City's chances of winning the title, and his continual disruptive behaviour is a nightmare. He was like it at United towards the end as well.
City won the title in spite of Tevez not because of him and the fact he had the hide to get on that bus to celebrate in the first place staggers me.
As for Boris, in the main he's always been ok with me.

i agree mate, i cant see what the big deal is to be honest, it was tongue in cheek by a fan and Tevez displayed it.
i think what makes it slightly worse tho is his history with Fergie and like i said the fact he had the nerve to be the one to do it after what he did midseason.
At the end of the day i have no bitterness, you won the league and the table doesnt lie, its just a shame your fans( well some, some are also muppets ) have had to hear your club apologise over something so daft.
There seems to be 2 themes running here - The placard and whether Tevez should have been on the bus.
Tevez's presence was a decision for the club and I honestly couldn't care if he was on it or not, his team mates however seemed quite happy to have him amongst their number, so that's good enough for me.
Tevez has a well publicised grudge against Fergie after the lies United spread to cover up the fact they couldn't afford to buy him when his loan contract was up. That was covered ad nauseum on BBC 606 but if United want to kick up a fuss about the placard then I'm sure it'll get raked up again in the media.
Ferguson has recently stated that the challenge presented by City has made him feel 3 years younger so United fans should recognise that City has done a lot of good this season for their manager and the poster which was not made by Tevez is nothing more than harmless humour.
The placard seems to have been a good way of seperating the people who actually know what goes on or is said about Manchester football and the knee-jerk PC brigade on whom it was completely lost.
Much ado about nothing. Everyone in Manchester can see the joke in it. Fergie actually makes these tongue in cheek comments but often goes back on them. He doesn't actually mean them. Much like the Real madrid "virus" comments.
Yet again an example of this over-sensitive nation!
City apologised, United accepted it. Fergie's not going to be crying about it, he's not dead. Move on people and stop trying to get a bit of one upmanship on each other!
The football proved City were the bestter side in the league over the season, nothing will change that but it's nearly the start of another season so let's go again!
In the main I've been impressed by how all those related to both Manchester clubs have conducted themselves over the title going to City!
The outcry over this placard is a bit pathetic really,I don't believe anyone is really bristling with the supposed indignation about it.Of course it was ill advised but that's typical of the horrible little toss pot throughout his career in England,so whys anyone up in arms about what for him is the norm?
The vast majority of City fans have no time for him,by backing Mancini 100 % we have to back him on his decision as regards bringing him back into the fold and it's probably been the managerial decision which has won the title. The club need to quickly draw a line under the Tevez saga and get shut as quickly as possible and realistically take a hit on him,but it will be worth it in the long run
Don't agree that it ruined our day yesterday. But the OP is right, it is a shame that we ended it by having to apologise for any offence caused.
The sign was an error of judgement, but the apology itself is merely an exercise in PR. I doubt Ferguson was truly distressed by it. He may even have got the joke, or even (much more likely) found it amusing that City still couldn't resist a dig at our more illustrious neighbours. And that's the most annoying thing for me. Yesterday was about celebrating our win, as was the celebrations after the third goal was scored (and ultimately final whistle blown).
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the rivalry, and it's great to see us challenge and be able to usurp United (which we did this season). The rivalry really does mean something now. But a constant reference to United, by players, ex players, fans, and more so media - well too many too often are just unable to resist it. I see it as counter productive more than anything - any success we do have doesn't feel insular, or perhaps a better way of putting it, self-contained. It always seems to come down to United to some degree, and for that reason, it becomes just as much about them as it does about us.
My opinion, we have to get that chip off our shoulder. In that respect, it's hardly unsurprising that it was Tevez at the centre of this yesterday - a player who has a bigger chip on his shoulder than anyone.
For once I actually agree with Boris! Somebody please hold up the "RIP JKN" signs! :'(
It's got pretty ridiculous that clubs are apologising for a player, making a joke, which caused no harm to anybody. Unless of course they think Fergie is about to top himself.
Doris
City are not the "top dogs" in Manchester SAF is right, it won't happen in his lifetime nor in mine or yours.
JKN
I doubt there was much sincereity in the apology because there was no malicious intent in the first place.
to be fair i dont think anyone at united even complained about it.
i think credit to city, they saw it and felt the need to apologise.
saying that, if noone complained from the club, has city apologisng made it bigger than it needed to be??
If City want to be taken seriously as a major club in world football, and especially if they want to be seen as the dominant club in Manchester, then they have to stop referencing United at every opportunity, and defining their success by United's failure. Tevez has exemplified this since the day he was signed with the Welcome to Manchester poster through to the sign yesterday, which personally I think is in bad taste, but the reaction is OTT given SAF's not in my lifetime comment.
If United had one the title and were on that bus would any of the players or representatives even mentioned City through the celebrations? No, and they never have done, simply because their success is not defined by City's failure.
